Just temper your expectations slightly, realize that there will be flaws and features you wish were still in the game at launch and feel fairly confident that the devs will add more features post launch.

I learned about the pain of expectations when I was a kid who won tickets to see an week-early screening of Mortal Kombat Annihilation in Calgary, 1997. My bro and I had played thousands of matches of the games and LOVED the first movie. I was so ready to spend a week annoying my friends about how cool it was and tell them fake spoilers.
