At first I was upset because I thought it'd make him harder, but the fight is actually much more optimized for low resource runs. There's also a really cool low % fast method you can do that's really satisfying to pull off and goes by quickly.

Also for all the shit takers and stretchers out there look no further than my webm, you can still leave the game idling by for 4 minutes while he blows up the floor, and it's actually more effective than the old method.
All in all the new Olmec is a huge improvement on all fronts.

He now only bombs when you're directly under him. He used to spray bombs every few seconds no matter where you were, so you could just stand on top of him. Now you can just stand under him.

Also since his thrusters now only have 1hp, you can just throw a rock at them to destroy them, that gets him down low enough for you to hit him.

Why the fuck has the qilin skip not been patched?
I got to CO the intended way recently, then decided to look up the skip. All you need is a jetpack and a few ropes and I managed to do it on my second try.
There's literally no reason whatsoever to do the intended route instead of resetting for a jetpack on 1-2. If the skip was actually difficult (comparable to doing the intended route at least) I wouldn't really mind.
