Would you play an American West themed Soulsborne game? Everything from cowboys and indians to Route 66.

I would eat it up big time.
>american west
>bloodborne
you feeling alright chief?
>bloodborne
>America
>American West
You what?
that's just bloodborne except you have 2 guns instead of just 1
Operating a gun is easy, though. How are you supposed to distribute skills to things that any retarded monkey can operate after a quick lesson?
Plenty of other games have figured this out.
I would play it because I like the genre, but true Soulsborne fans wouldn't unless it's made by From Software themselves.
there is that one game that is like dark souls with guns and apparently it works quite decently. I mean if you're some cowbody with a winchester rifle and a colt up against some 50 foot high cosmic horror, there's reason to believe that your guns will hurt it as much as a bb gun
>there is that one game that is like dark souls with guns and apparently it works quite decently.
there are multiple games like that and they all suck
Hunt : Showdown
This will be an alternative reality. Dark souls is a fantasy with elves and orcs.
i would not play a soulshit game
The only "Dark Souls with guns!" I can think about is Remnant from the Ashes and that one is a pretty solid (albeit short) game.
Imagine trying to make a Cowboys and Indians game in Current Climate.
cowboys and the west are always cool
no indians though because theyre pure reddit circlejerk with the whole muh noble tribes and muh living off the land shit
As long as you can kill filthy injun varmints I'm all for it.
So Hunt: Showdown? I wouldnt mind if they remade/finished their original vision of Hunt: Horrors of the gilded age and implemented soulsborne element into it though.
But think about the dank indian lore. Fight a Thunderbird or some shit.
you mean hollywood shit that they made to pander to idiots like you?
Ah yes, foggy london and late 1800s european attire. The peak of american west aesthetic
Bloodborne did it and that game sucked
>He says on an entertainment media forum
Yes, but seeing as it would be wholely or vast majority gunplay to be accurate they'd either need to take liberties with accuracy, or go more a remnant:from the ashes route with gameplay, catering to shoot mechanics
Ah yes, the dank bayous of Arizona.
Easy, theres civil war stuff, mexican war stuff, and oregon trail stuff, industrializing the west, several topics to run without even touching natives if you felt so inclined
Im pretty sure, what they showed took place in Lousiana. And they mentioned the full game would take place all over the US.
"without even touching the natives" is erasure, which is just as bad if not worse.
while we're on the topic, what are some good weird/supernatural wild west games.
Also, do any of them come close to as good as this game was?
Then what do you Listerine swilling savages want? In all honesty, showing your true brutal ways would best for this hypothetical game. Like Bone Tomahawk.
Manifest Destiny can also be used as an excuse to fight angels and gods and shit.
Bone Tomahawk was expressly not portraying actual natives. They even have an injun in the opening scene just to say "troglodytes aren't injuns"
>TFW this just came on shuffle
youtube.com
>Bloodborne
>Sucked
I'm not Bloodborne's biggest fan but that game was pretty good.
Are you a PC only player by chance?
The brutalism was real. That was a CYA line my man.
Yes I absolutely would.
lol no.
Hell yes, supernatural western stuff is supremely underrated.
I'd rather play a south american game about thinking than a Japanese game about shooting.
no I play exclusively mobile games
Yes, natives sat around weaving baskets and cultivating maize. Right.
damn, I forgot about this game. Me and my cousin would play the shit out of it
That's not even half funny.
Yeah fighting wendigos and shit would be kino
Too problematic would have to be a native american scalping cracka cowboys
I'd play that too
Imagine the skinwalkers.
My mistake dude, you're right. Natives were notorious for cutting their own throats out to install deathwhistles.
You're twisting my argument. Natives were brutal and ruthless and NOTHING can change your peaceful noble savage argument.
Westerns not my favourite genre but it could be very fun. Bloodborne like grim and immersive and nothing like Red Dead Redemption.
