Hello. I have been developing a method to completely and permanently "erase" an NPC from TES4: Oblivion, including across saves and all that. I've been developing it to see if I myself can counter my own attempts at making an unkillable NPC, which itself is now going to be made into a full-production mod. I'm doing this on every NPC both to test the limits of my coding, and because I have not yet been able to achieve a fully empty "theme park" esque Oblivion game world. I've come close, the closest being when I fused every NPC together, but despite that attempt some respawned and I had to make manual adjustments anyway.
Will it be possible to do this to every NPC without the game crashing? Thoughts, Zig Forums? Will be posting updates here. Pic unrelated.

Nickies, when you say remove NPCs will it persist into loading a new game? I think if you create a spell/function that you use and it pulls the target right out from the games core files completely, that would be pretty fucking rad. Do npcs in oblivion sometimes have alternate versions of themselves?

not directly related to the topic of the thread, but since you're knowledgeable about the game's internals i'll ask anyways. i understand that if you manage to die and get revived various attributes (such as birthsign, etc) are lost. why is that the case?

I became such a porn consumed faggot in 2016 to 2018 that I have no idea who nickies is.
