What video games most remind you of December/Christmas/the winter months, Zig Forums? What do you usually play this time of year?

jazz jackrabbit christmas thing

Arkham Origins for both.

There are no good "Christmas" games, you can't base an entire game around such a shitty premise
That being said there's something cozy about dark souls' painted world

Playing Final Fantasy 11 with by big sister and having her teach me about the world and locations. She got me a copy for Christmas and even went through the effort of installing and updating that shit overnight for me to play on Christmas day. Was first real online game I ever played and first time we shared a common interest. I miss it and I was too retarded to actually play the game then or know just how much that shitty MMO meant to her.

i've played yakuza around december the past two years for some reason; it actually fits well since 0 and kiwami both take place in mid to late december (at least in 0 i remember pretty explicitly you can see christmas decor in a variety of places)

black ops 1

There's this pretty old flash game called "Deep Freeze" on Miniclip that I have fond memories of. It's a basic Christmas-themed platformer / shooter with Bubble Bobble-like mechanics.

I can't speak for the game's quality but I do have nostalgia for it. Also, with flash being discontinued at the end of this year, it may very well be the last time you can ever play it this upcoming December

I don't really play specific games for specifics times of the year. I suppose I should start up Animal Crossing again so I can participate in the Christmas event

Parasite Eve!

Minecraft

Saints Row 4

This, except the last bit.

You shouldn't bother with that shit user, it's what they want.

They want you to associate things with their abusive tactic bullshit and associating things like that is how they get you.

The Batman Arkham games and Mass Effect. Got them both for two adjacent Christmases. So comfy. I don’t think we’ll ever have games that schmoodie ever again

This is the only one I can think of

Sonic Adventure 2. It's what I would play nonstop to kill time in those days before Christmas and you were off from school.

Resident Evil, not the action orientated ones though.
The atmosphere fits more well to me in these cold isolated lonely months than October/Halloween for some reason.

I like that one level in HITMAN Blood Money with the Santa strippers

Dkc3 with the christmas cheat code is my favorite go-to. when I go back home during the holidays I'll play some SOTN and megaman x5.

Same.
Me and my friends would always play together during christmas break each year. Even though we're all out of college now, I still go back to it this time of year.

hoping to set a new personal best this year

This but also including the action REs.

Old Minecraft with a Snow World is always comfy. I miss my 1st world on the Xbox 360, wish I could recover the seed.
TF2 is more of a October game, I don't actually know user.

Planet coaster. I just continue the christmas/winter themed park that I've been doing for a couple years.

Skyrim. 11-11-11. Put in some comfy christmas mods, no hud, alternate starts, and just go through the mountains drinking hot coco.

The memory of me playing smtiv in front of the fireplace at my parents house after a 6 hour flight home for Christmas is pretty much burned in my memory
I even remember that In the good old summertime was on TCM in the background, which I still find a very ironic name for a technical Christmas movie

You have been good this year, right user?

My first real PC gaming memory was playing in sled build servers in Garry's Mod right after Christmas. I haven't touched GMod in years, and I doubt anyone still plays this, but every winter I get some flashbacks.

Crash Bandicoot 1.
Got a PS1 and that game as a gift when I was a kid (no memory card of course) and played the shit out of it.

Now that I think about it I don't think that game even supported memory cards. You had to use level codes.

Halo CE.
Mostly because of Two Betrayals. It would've been something I played as a kid but there's nothing on Genesis that made me think of winter, at least among what we had.
