It's just the ladder system from D2, each season have a few milestones you have to reach to unlock a cosmetic reward like a non combat pet, armour appearances or character icon frame. It's not new content you just play the same game over and over.

D2 and D3 seasons are nothing like PoE leagues. Exile actually provides new content, themes, and objectives on each one. D2 was just a reset, and in D3 you got 1 (one) low effort armor set. I haven't played D3 in years but if they are releasing new content every season then they did copy PoE.

I mean, seasons were fun for a bit but pushing G. Rifts gets real old, real quick. PoE has shit to work for which is why it stays fun (although I have bowed out these last three leagues because they are not good).

Played it the first night s22 and remembered how boring it was to just mindlessly grind rifts. Won't even bother buying diablo4 is it's the same thing with nicer textures
