well user I hate to tell you but I think base dmc4 is the worst in the series, ignoring 2, so that gives me very little enticement to try it.

Dante (excluding SMT) is on that weird power level where there are very few opponents close to his level. The vast majority of them is either massively weaker or massively stronger than him.
I mean, the dude casually moves on lighting speed. That alone filters out all the Ridens and Bayonettas.
