i mean it just has some gorgeous visuals and a stunning soundtrack. As much as i may want to act like it's revolutionary its basically a rehash of everything seen before in the metroidvania genre but just done a bit better (it basically stole the whole charm mechanic in hollowknight). One thing i can say that distinguishes ori from other metroidvanias is the movement. moving in ori and the will of the wisps feels so fucking great. even more so than the original game. its hard to explain through words you've just got to try it.
