Nabbed myself an Awakened Snake and trying to help him cultivate a big think into turning into a Yaoguai now

saw it recommended on steam because I play some similar stuff. would you recommend it for someone only passingly familiar with xianxia stuff?

Transcribing gives fucktons of inspiration.
How many intelligence shards? More shards = fast tribulation = dead snake
I knew nothing about xianxia when going in, and it's been a blast.

My entire exposure to wuxia/xianxia style stuff is thunderbolt fantasy but I'm enjoying it. It brings out my inner minmaxer.

Picked it up yesterday. Was surprisingly autistic for having such high production values.

Chinks are surprisingly based when it comes to xianxia.

The autism runs deep in this game.

Also how common is it to start as yaoguai? Of my 4 starters 2 were snake/turtle, so is it 50%?

Having your construction worker be a turtle fucking sucks though.
>0.5 base speed
>snake has 17 what the fuck
I thought an agility talisman was going to fix him up but it just made it 0.6.

based turtle
what's the rush?

this game is in my recommended list all the time...

if i like rimworld will i like this game? i know nothing about the setting

You can customize your starters. Only if you start in imortal mode, some tribulation you can select in the side menu will give you guaranteed yaoguai companions.
It starts off like Rimworld, but the more you play it the more you understand it is fundamentally different to it.

The setting is traditional Chinese wuxia/xianxia fantasy.

The early game is similar to rimworld, the late game is powering up your weaboo fightan magic by building temples with proper elemental alignment and feng shui for your guys to meditate in.

can i play it in windowed mode while watching lego youtube videos?

how much fighting is in the game?

I just took the ones I got by default since I know nothing about the game anyway so it's not like I can minmax or anything.

Also it's more fun to just take things as they come.

is this a rimworld ripoff?

Yes.
Good luck, user. It's going to be really hard to build a proper cultivator with low Qi sense.
Yes, for the first few hours of your playthrough.

While you have to micro a little bit for efficient cultivation most of it is stuff you can have in the background as long as you check in for events. There's combat but it's mostly "set your dude to attack the other dudeand maybe occcasionally click to cast a spell".

HEY MA, I MADE THE SHILL THREAD AGAIN!

My main guy (snake) seems to be a genius though. I think she has a very high qi sense (that's for amount of mana, right?) and cultivates super fast.

I remember when complaining about viral marketing was an auto-ban on Zig Forums, and we didn't have wojak.

>main guy (snake)
Good luck user you'll need it
How many days is say over the part that says shapeshifter?

Around 17 I think when I stopped.
Is it really that hard though?

don't know anything about this
would I eventually be able to make a character as strong as what you see in wuxia/xianxia novels/web comics?

back to /vst/ you cunt

>Around 17
I hope for your sake she's formed her golden core. Else, you can start saying your goodbyes.

Yes. That is one of the game's major objectives.

There's five fights in a row and my golden core cultivators barely beat one. I hope you've got her to primorduial spirit by now user.

fuck im sold
I love that shit

Nigga what the fuck, she's only been cultivating for like two weeks.

Was golden core after qi shaping because that's the level she's on now, just need to get that first breakthrough.

>turtle had a whole year for the tribulation
Truly the embodiment of not rushing

I feel like I'd rather be playing Craft the World or Rimworld.

Amazing Cultivation Simulator's translation is only decent in the help menus. Outside of that, it falls apart. The UI has issues with Latin-script languages overlapping or missing words/phrases that are too long to appear; graves spill words into thin air. Sound effects are worse than ones I've heard in Flash games from the early 2000s or not present at all. Animations are basic. Models are okay but lack customization (unless that's something you earn later on— hard to look up much of anything when most of the game's community is Chinese). If a resource is missing, work grinds to a halt. I've seen builders stare at an unfinished building in a "trance" until their schedule changes to something other than "work" if they need something that the building's description doesn't say is even necessary, but actually is.

On the upside, the game has 3D models. Buildings/workshops look fine to me. The setting is interesting (but difficult to appreciate without a better translation).

I'll probably give it a few more hours before I go back to playing heavily-modded Rimworld and getting a similar experience with Royalty.
