Playing Hitman 2 now for the first time.
Everything looks fucking gorgeous and it's fun to play. Killing people full SA style.

They kinda pissed me off with making VR PlayStation exclusive, so there's that too. I know Sony probably funded it, but I have a small hope that maybe by that time they add it to the Steam version.

If you look at their 'careers' page, they're only now looking for lead designers/artists/developers for that, so don't expect anything until like E3 '22 at best.

i was going to get started with hitman on steam as i have never played any of them, but fuck me, all it is is pages of dlc and god knows whatever else. it took me 5 minutes to find what i think was the goty edition and i'm not sure it's even the first game. in the end i didn't even bother.

All you had to do was buying Hitman 2 Gold Edition + Legacy Pack (for Hitman 1 levels).

Interesting to see some of the new changes in 1 levels in 2.
I honestly have no idea what Hitman version I have since I got 2 from the monthly humble bundle. And now I don't know what to get for the final missions/DLC.

Well, they are a AAA-sized indie studio making pretty niche titles - Hitman, good as it is, is not mainstream material, and Bond, despite what we may think, isn't the hot licence it used to be in the 2000s.

I'm gonna wait for Steam release too, but I can see why they took the Epic and Sony cash.

I'd say it's different when it requires me to download a bloated launcher, create yet another account, and after all that I won't be able to talk to my Steam friends while playing. Besides, I don't know about others, I can barely excited about games any more, and if it requires this much extra effort to buy the game, I'll easily be able to forget about it for another year.

I just want all my games on Steam because it's the most convenient, well-made launcher, and all my other games are already there. I can wait a year on Hitman 3, there are more good games out there that I haven't played than would last me a lifetime.

If it's just about aggregation then just use shortcuts. I already have like 50% of my steam library consist of non-steam shortcuts.
