>only cybernetic augmentations the player can get that change your appearance are three flesh tone arms and cosmetic lines on your face
How the fuck are more people not talking about this? How is it every NPC in the game has wild augmentations and you're so limited in what the player can get?
this is a minor complaint compared to the game barely running.
This is the thing see, even if they fix the things people are complaining about now, they will instantly be replaced by new problems to complain about. People dont yet understand how fucking broken this game is. The only reason its not ranked alongside Fallout 76 is the legions of CDPR apologists desperate to love the game. I include mainstream reviewers in this.

I'm not a huge fan that everyone has cyber augmentations. like you'd think this super human ability would be reserved for the rich or people who can pay for it. but instead, literally every poor faggot has access to doctors who can casually replace your entire skeletal structure without issue.
it'd be one thing if everyone had info jacks or basic things like that. but even your rank and file prostitutes have completely customized facial replacements.
Xavier Nguyen
Ok man, show me how your heavily augmented V looks visually different from a non heavily augmented V
Ryder Ross
>less transhumanist abomination
Kayden Russell
It's literally impossible to play or RP as a non augmented person, V always gets his eyes and right hand replaced as part of the story in an unskippable cutscene. Not that it matters much playing a pure human character in a setting where cyber limbs are the norm is pretty dull
Adrian Anderson
Yes, very painful. Didn't realize how mad I was until I saw Adam Smasher and realized "oh, I'm just buying *abilities* like a standard fare rpg. I truly wanted to be and LOOK like a 90% cyborg. Instead I got Skyrim tattoo editor.
Justin Nguyen
>want to make an adam jensen build >corpo, stealth hacking, silenced headshots only and non lethal takedowns >mfw I have to play the whole game as a random thug
Mason Garcia
Its such a shame cause this could have been the one place they beat deus ex.
The original deus ex, fun as it is, has really boring powers since most of them are just invisible skill boosts. The modern Deus ex has better powers, and amazing designs of the augmentations, but no customization as you always are roleplaying a set character.
I would have loved the freedom to augment myself bit by bit, choosing to be a pure human or a full on robocop
Luis Adams
I see NPCs with them but you can't get that one eye visor thing that goes across your face. I was hoping to rock that with a pink Mohawk and be a cyber assaisan And the I found out there's no real cyber combat Then all hope was lost
Austin Gray
I find myself watching the full intro video every time it boots up. The one with the newscaster reporting on the nights crime. The ambiance of that is like the finale of the tease of this game. The way its portrayed, the music, the way the individual skills are shown (the net runner aesthetic in this scene is perfect. Then I load up my save and I'm in purple GTA V.5
Dominic Phillips
>you think this super human ability Well considering it was all available to the rich and middle class in 2020, and it's now 57 years later.
Austin Johnson
People were excited for this game when it was announced. Everyday until the first trailer people were excited for this game
Hunter Hall
I'm liking the game more than most of Zig Forums but it really feels like the developers couldn't decide if they wanted to make Deus ex or GTA4 and ended up half assing both.
Angel Thomas
What? I thought the whole appeal of this game was that you could just go fucking crazy with body mods and turn into a total freak?
That makes me way less interested in the game.
Xavier Lee
You can get some cool arm embedded weapons, but that's literally 100% of the augmentations. You can also change your eyes to look like Batou from GITS but nothing else.
Alexander Bailey
90% of them are stuff like add 50 armor, regen 2 hp/s out of combat.
Easton Evans
I really wanted to get those bug eye augs like those three chicks on that poster you see.
Carter Diaz
The fact that none of the leg mods can't anything is silly.
Luis Green
Is there any cyberpunk game where you start off pure human and can get viable cybernetics over the course of the game to look fully different by the end? Either full Adam Smasher robot, or more a cyborg look like Jensen?
John Evans
This is the most pedantic answer but technically Adam jensen is a pure human In the tutorial of Human Revolution
I cant think of an answer, I'm so disappointed I was really hoping it would be present in this
Justin Parker
Yeah the first scripted eye upgrade was legit cool and I was hoping you'd get to do the surgery every time. I bought the mk3 eye and nothing happened, it's not even that good. Just 2 more mod slots
Joshua Richardson
I feel like the surgery was something you were supposed to see every time but was just scrapped for time.
Dylan Harris
Don't ask questions, just buy it! What are you? Transphobic?
Carson Wilson
I wondered that too. I guess you'd get bored of it bit t did feel remarkably immersive that buying cyborg limbs was just a menu
James Brown
How do I check my FPS while in-game? I'm curious how my PC is holding up with it. I keep forgetting that FRAPS doesn't work on shit with DX12/13 and I don't have it on steam so no steam overlay
was v augmented from the start or were the eyes and the hand his first augments? like did he have some brain boosters or memory expanders?
Cooper Gomez
He always has eye implants, that's his HUD. As for anything else, Corpo V is mentioned to have minor brain augmentation and cyberware. Idk about the others
Aiden Bailey
msi afterburner with rivatuner
Carson Martin
yeah there's some clear scrapped content, like the car customization stuff. There's missions where you interact with trunks and hoods, even modeled car parts under the hood. Once you try anything open world though it's nonexistant, even buying cars is just a side job cluttering up your journal. I wanted garages or at least an auto dealership to buy from, instead it's a random vehicle in a parking lot you walk up to and click buy.
Chase Evans
don't worry, that'll be in the expansion you know, all the content they didn't have time to implement before launch
Easton Thomas
There's no simpler way? I haven't installed afterburner in ages since I have no intention of OC'ing my GPU with my current cooling options
Jaxon Jackson
Didn't you get to Fingers? This isn't Hollywood-level Plastic Surgery available to the masses, this is cheap Mexican/Vietnamese botox tier in comparison.
Plenty of people die in botched ripper operations. Also, scavs.
>playing a pure human character in a setting where cyber limbs are the norm is pretty dull It's unfortunate that CDPR felt this way, I can think of a few "man vs society" angles that would make interesting stories.
Hunter Moore
Yeah and these cheap back ally ripper docs kill their patients half the time or the augments end up killing them
Robert Wilson
Daemon x machina
Joshua Taylor
>gorilla arms don't let you open doors or rip turrets its a body check >mantis blade pounce can't be used from above or below >monowire has no hack synergy, no steal kill animation, no bonuses to stealth damage and scales with body and ungabunga street brawler (despite being the stealth/hacker mod) The cybermods in this game give you less utility then fucking shadowrun.
Literally, the only cybermods that matter at all are the double jump legs.
Angel Sanchez
>Tfw can barely note the difference between ray tracing on or off
I mean I see a difference, but it's like barely worth mattering? I might even like it a bit more with it off because it makes the game brighter. What a meme
Jonathan Martinez
Big complaint for me is the dialogue is Telltale levels of vague >"Talk to T-Bug" option >You dumb bitch Jackie you got her killed fuck you you dumb fucker
Yeah, I wanted to be like Adam Smasher too. In fact, whenever I play this game, I’m just reminded of all the stuff I can’t have quite frequently.
Carter Morgan
Press Windows+G to show the Windows 10 gay bar. It has a performance metrics widget you can pin to show even if you hide the bar again. It's kinda big and displays a graph no one really needs but it works for everything. Assuming you're on 10 because I don't know if the game will even run on anything lower.
