In a way I do feel bad for CDPR because now their rep is in tatters. They create really good looking games, amazing even, with top end hardware, but this ultimately is worth nothing when your "game" is shit to play. At the same time though, I know it's all on them that it this launch was a mess and they only have themselves to blame. The poster is right; it's all style and no substance.

The shouldn't have been open world for the single player campaign - it should have been more limited, with open areas for quests, kinda like hubs. The open world shit could have been finished when they eventually release the multiplayer next year. Also, releasing for older consoles compounded the backlash. They should have made the engine fit those systems better or not bothered at all.

I bought the game and have played enough that I can't refund it. Gonna drop it for a while, though. Made it to level 13 and pretty much agree with everything this review has stated.
The biggest thing that sucks is I don't feel like any amount of patching can fix these issues.

Dunno, man. Kinda blows my mind this was developed by the same developer that put out TW3. Not that TW3 was perfect but holy shit. They got $60 out of me this time but the next game they release will get a closer look before I buy. Certainly won't be trusting reviews either.
