Why is this game most hated by people who.. haven't actually played it?

Besides the bugs, the game is 100% average/ mediocre. It just got overhyped. If it came out without the marketing lies, it would have been shrugged at, yet still recommended on Zig Forums. For what was promised, it failed miserably, and that's made people understandably mad, OP!

I've been seeing dirt through the car floor and flipped cars like there's little gravity.

im playing the pirate. the world is big and nice even with the bugs. the gameplay is boring unless you're going guns out or fists out which I'm doing the latter. stealth is boring as fuck and the hacking part is basically built around the stealth except for one or 2 abilities. also its short story wise

game runs fine, Ive got rtx running full blast on a 2070 super. if you want good fps you just gotta turn down far shadows and unless your rig can handle it turn crowds to medium. beyond that some bugs are very present and i have had to save and reload the game to fix them. still having fun tho.

The part that seemed most jarring, and that he was most in denial about was the combat. He's not even doing the main quest I think, because he's just driving around to reported crimes and then killing everybody there.
Problem is, he can roll up to a drug cartels house in the hills, hit the dudes car in the driveway, get out, and then load a single-shot sniper rifle, and all the enemy NPC's are just standing there in the idle animation while a guy talks about how he doesn't want to die. He's using a sniper rifle at 40 feet to headshot the first two guys before the rest finish their animation cycle and then spend about six seconds pulling out guns before shooting at him.
It's insane, and in a hilarious way reminds me of oblivion.

Actually I think the only people who shill for this game constantly are the ones who haven't played it yet. It's absolutely unfinished. The open world is dogshit.

I don't hate it. There are some things that they game really does well. The map is incredible for instance. There is no other world as beautiful as it in my opinion. But there's a lot of busted systems. Especially the AI and the police. The police don't even chase you for christ sake. There are no police driving around or anything like that. They just spawn. It's horrendous.

This game is divided up into fifths:
1/5 of the base has decided its transphobic and are currently bitching about it on Twitter. We don't care about those people, they're red herrings and do nothing but clog up the discussion.

Another 1/5 thinks it's god's gift to gaming and are currently shilling it hard on Zig Forums. The other /5 that goes with that are the counter shills, who were rightfully wary of the development hell and cut content and bull shit marketing prior to release. Unfortunately, they let their counter shilling get the better of them and now they're too busy spamming Shazam to actually contribute to any meaningful discourse.

The second to last fifth of this category think the game is a disappointing mess, but not without merit. They may believe the game should have stayed in the oven longer and they're probably right. Even without the shit optimization and awful bugs, the game seems to be flawed at its core, with shallow, one note combat and nonexistent RPG mechanics. It's only a matter of time before CDPR fixes the optimization and bugs. But many are fearful that no amount of time will fix how un-RPG this game is.

The last fifth comprises a little bit of the previous section. Only, they're facing an existential crisis because this is the ONE game that could made 2020 just a little bit worth it. They are currently contemplating suicide because games are officially dead now.
