Darktide

>going the Vermintide style character classes route
I'm kind of disappointed. With the obvious exception of the ogryn, the four guardsmen in the first trailer seemed so much more appealing.
No quips, no one liners, none of that shit. You just saw a group of player stand-ins. Their mannerisms throughout the trailer reflect not only their own experience as soldiers in 40K, but that which you might expect from players in the middle of a game. The guy trying his best but desperately needs healing, the veteran, the newbie, and the guy on maybe his second or third match.

Same

Sounds boring. Glad they changed it.

Not only are you objectively incorrect but you also stink of shit

The orgyn is the worst one though. Honestly i would prefer 4 female masked characters in military gear rather than what they changed it to now

>4 random PDF troopers ordered by the Inquisition to investigate the Underhive.
Soulful, has personality.
>4 EPIC and QUIRKY dev self inserts with a BADASS female melee specialist XD
Soulless, blatant cringe.
Hopefully they realize their mistake.

I wish it wasn’t basic guardsmen taking in this level of hoard.

Assassinorum, Sororitas, Psykers, Marines, ect could handle these waves. But a guardsmen has a 50/50 chance against a single fucking poxwalker.

>No quips, no one liners, none of that shit.
I understand that Zig Forums has exploited Zig Forums contrarianism to drive a narrative that quips are literally the worst thing ever in any entertainment media, but this entire genre was built off the back of a game which revolved around 4 strong character personalities and their banter. Pretty much every game in this genre stakes out clear character personalities, because in the real world nobody gets excited to play a faceless robot in this kind of genre.

The Guardsman/woman without a helmet should be a techpreist, that is my only complaint.

They won't they will keep to that for life. Another group of comic book heroes which has totally not been overdone in the last 10 years.

Y-yeah, b-buddy, somebody's gotta stop these woke devs from putting women wielding large melee weapons into muh 40k!

Shut the fuck up, faggot.

The new crew was already planned before the trailer, you could see them in all the concept art they posted. Four dudes were legit just there for the trailer.

>asian female priest

no YOU shut the fuck up, faggot

Hating Marvel movie zoomer humour isn't contrarian

And they had infinitely more soul than that fucking catastrophy of a group.

>be fucking wrong
>get fucked by someone that knows more than you
>Cry this hard about it.

Next time, remind yourself that you don't actually play the minis game and have no idea what the fuck you're talking about before you run your mouth about the setting, bucko.

There's a difference between hating Marvel humor and literally not wanting video game characters to have personalities because you view any character banter as "quips".

I mean you should have guessed it wouldn't be four guardsmen, fatshark games have always been based around 4 wildly different characters.

Oh dude you're right, I'm weeping right now.
But still, shut the fuck up.

This is truly some premium cope.

Why would I spend money on GW's toys? Like give a single reason why?

Oh, I don't expect you to, user. But remember to know your place, or you're just going to expose yourself once again as a redditor who reads Lexicanum articles and has no knowledge of the rich, deep history of the miniatures upon which Fatshark is drawing to build their characters.

>"Me and the boys purging heretics and xenos"
>"Me, a dyke, an abhuman and another dude purging heretics and xenos".
Which one sounds cooler?

40k has an entire faction of dykes who are the most redpilled and religiously fanatical Imperium faction of all. What more do you want?

I can guarantee you, I know more about this autism than you do, but that's a bizarre pissing contest that noone wins.

>I know more about this autism than you do
Clearly not, or you'd have known that the 3rd Edition Witch Hunters miniature line prominently featured several female characters wielding large melee weapons. It's fine if you just read the wiki, but like I said, know your place.

Ogryns are fun so the last one

Ok sweety :)

user, he’s a wikifag at BEST, don’t engage with such swine. They don’t know the hobby because they’re not INVESTED in the hobby, just educate the “secondary” and pity them in private.
