Different team also witcher is overrated reddit shit

>walk up to random npc
>pull out sword to kill them
>nope
Its the same dev user. Its witcher 3 in a big city.

game is overrated

The real redpill: It was never a masterpiece. It was a generic hack-and-slash fantasy RPG and it's claim to "mature story" was just that you could fuck whores. Literally everything else was generic fantasy shit.

Witcher is a good game but its combat system is abysmal

They used the same tech. Went from janky horse rails to extra jank car rails. Also 2 games helped "refine" TW3. Cyberbug also had enormous scope creep.

You don't talk about TW3, you're only supposed to shitpost about it and the joke is that everyone pretends it's amazing. No one actually likes it.

Witcher combat is hot garbage.

Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time and i fucking knew it from the beginning that CDPR was gonna fuck up cyberpunk the first time i saw the teaser

Cyberpunk dystopia isnt made for CDPR, they should stay to the world of the witcher
Its a much safer path and it would be extremly difficult to fuck it up

They should do a good next gen witcher 3 edition with adding more things + graphic update

And then either the next stories of Geralt or a prequel with Vesemir

>Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time

The baitest of bait

Its random yes but the animations are good so i dont really care

World + MC + Story + art direction + ost is what make witcher 3 a good game

more like good movie
gameplay is shit

Good post. Good gameplay is what's actually most important, and the floaty, unpunishing, either nerf toy or irritating combat is just a significant chunk of the gameplay.
Not like the average buyer knows that being able to dodge at any time, even during an attack is weird in any game that doesn't feel like a certain type of arcade style.

dont forget almost every quest is turn on batman vision

>the eternal Zig Forums contrarian too cool for lamestream shit

Attached: 1602876673536.jpg (556x544, 49.13K)

Witcher 3 was garbage bro, go back and play it. The game aged terribly

come to think of it was there anything to do in novigrad?

Batman vision is fucking trash and it's a lazy copout to actually putting in real clues to follow. Except for scent, hard to convey scent in a game.

They hated him because he spoke the truth. Fantasy fans are starved for good open world games.

They're literally the exact same game with different settings. The only difference is that one has Gwent and the other has more replayability

you are continually told why tw3 is shit. you being shocked about the state of dildopunk is the fault of you not listening

Gwent tournaments and fistfight tournaments

do people forgot that the witcher 3 had an similar horrendus optimization and bugs as cyberpunk on launch?

It’s one of the worst games ever made you fucking retard, you’re all just too goddamn stupid to see it just like a Star Wars fanboy gobbles up Star Wars trash without thinking. It fucking sucked, it always sucked, replay it now after the news about Cyberpunk and it will legitimately be so obvious how bad it is at every single aspect from combat to level design to just small things like how ridiculously long a camera angle will linger on a place you’re supposed to notice until it becomes cartoonish. Fuck you LOTR fatbois your game is casual cancer.

Because Witcher 3 was never fucking good.

I actually never got hyped for this game and decided to try it out a couple of years back due to all the insane hype surrounding it.
I lasted about 20 minutes.

Absolutely EVERYTHING a bout that game is just ABYSSMAL.

The graphics, the animations, the voice acting, the writing, the combat system...
It's so mind blowingly bad..

When I first saw the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay reveal back in like 2018 I was asking people why the FK they are hyped over this mediocre garbage, and no could really tell me.
People are sheep.

I barely played TW2 but that game's investigative system is better. Also Cat is way better too.

People seem to forget that these games are nearly identical in how they're structured. It's actually hilarious when people try to say Witcher 3 was more engaging to roam around in when it has the exact same experience except a unique dense city.

It’s insane watching people fall for these games. They’re legitimately 3/10 experiences and some of the worst games ever made in recent history.

>Also Cat is way better too
Yup. Cat is completely unnecessary in 3, not a single dungeon is dark enough to warrant it or the useless torch.
2 may have been peak gameplay with the series.

Does nobody remember the mess that the W3 initial release was? It was EXTREMELY buggy. Cyberpunk will get better over time because CDPR is great at supporting a game over a long time; they're just shit at deciding which features can be done in a timely manner. Most companies will go "We can do x or we can do y before it releases" (most of the time). CDPR will go "We can do x and y, and then while we're at it let's do z too"

i expect cyberpunk to be prised in a year or two as the witcher 3 was

What are some good games concurencing witcher 3 for exemple ?

Why does everything need to be a masterpiece What happen to enjoying a game for what it is?
It's a videogame, not a Pablo Picasso.

Witcher 3’s combat was absolute shit. Dropped that piece of shit when I got to skellige islands because of how fucking bored I was. Fuck that trash. At least cyberpunk combat is more varied with all the different guns+melee. Witcher 3 was the most overrated piece of shit I’ve ever played.

Cyberpunk will be praised as long as Witcher 3 has been once the expansions come out. Unlike Witcher 3 I think it'll be more a of a redemption story, but the game isn't bad like some people are shouting

I dunno about that, by skillige the game was already running out of steam, and i'd argue after novigrad it already showed signs of it.

The only real positives of this game are some of the side quests stories and the overall design of armors and stuff. I used to study the armor designs of this game for my own 3D work, it's perfect imo.

But as a RPG it's as bare bones as you can get, sure theres a few routes and endings but there is nothing else locked away from you depending on your build which is a key aspect of an RPG. The world is static and liveless with NPC saying the same things, standing in the same place, doing the samethings forever. NPCs dont have routines or anything, there is 0 emergent gameplay, everything is an icon on a map. Fight, Talk, Play Cards.

They just copied Elric

the game only suffers from technical issues, which are gonna be solved in a reasonable amount of time, didnt see a complain about the story, the gameplay is pretty generic but not boring enough

Witcher 3
>Doesn't rely on it's shit AI so it's less obvious
>Gwent
>A lot of side quests flesh out the people living in the world
>Generally underwhelming main story
Cyberpunk
>A lot of different ways to tackle scenarios
>More choices and consequences in the main story
>Johnny is a great and refreshing character (Opinion on performance will vary)
>Side Gigs should have involved meeting a real person who has hired you
>Need to add some kind of interactivity with gambling or arcade machines
>It's AI is still broken but is way more obvious
>Main Story has a lot of great moments and a Wow factor

Depends on what it's trying to achieve. The people that made NotTetris deserve a medal for best rip-off of all time. The people that made TLOU2 put less innovation or new ideas in it than NotTetris. If you played the first Witcher you realized it was always supposed to be a silly fantasy timewaster.

W3 was garbage, but functional garbage.

>Unlike Witcher 3 I think it'll be more a of a redemption story
based on what evidence? you know i wouldn't put it past journalists to make up some fantasy feel good narrative. at this game's core it is not an rpg. all the rpg features they said the game would have are not present in the game and it's incredibly hard to believe they can just plug them in without redoing everything. cdpr lied poland died

To this day this game has tons of visual, sound, and gameplay problems. Just because you cream your jeans over MUH CHARACTERS AND ATMOSPHERE doesn't mean it isn't shit. No, I'm not contrarian, you're a fucking mark.

Dark Souls series
Monster Hunter World
Gothic series (yes, a fucking 20 year old game is better)
Sekiro

DUDE... BAD WORDS AND SEX SCENES LIKE GAME OF THRONES
Joking aside, it's still a good game. Better than most of the shit to come out in 8th AND 7th gen...

Yeah, most the people mad are either console players or people who got tricked by the marketing

witcher 3's main story after the bloody baron was garbage

They got lucky. That's how. If you think about it and compare the two. It's the only way to describe it. In TW3 Geralt isn't a mass murderer who stabs the innocent and igni blasts guards in the face for giggles. There was no AI. Never has been. Alright. Think about it. Everything about the Witcher 3 is still present in "CyberPunk" the difference being is we expected freedom in the game, but instead we got TW3 experience but now the guards teleport behind you before chopping your cyber cock off.

and haircuts and shopping and the banker and short sidequests that you're forced into and there were dungeons under the city and sometimes the serial killer was leaving flyers around and sometimes the church was burning witches

Why? People can't name a single good thing about CP, just drone on that it's "exactly like TW3" when it has none of that game's strengths.
>Roach used to spawn on the roof! It's like identical situations!

It's not any different, it will always have a special place in your heart because it was your first RPG.

>NPCs dont have routines or anything, there is 0 emergent gameplay
I actually love this. Oblivion is a shit show when ti comes to balance or combat but the npcs are convincing dipshits with jobs and walk around and pick their nose and sleep in their loft above their business.

>Stats and progression
>Different character builds
>Roleplaying
>Not an RPG
Witcher 3 is less of an RPG yet that's what it is.

Is this the game that had like a lot of types of enemies like werewolves, ghouls, sirens, harpies, vampires, insects, trolls, giants etc but they all fight literally the same because of how basic and shit the AI was?

This game is boring and the character has this cartoon smoke 30 packs a day voice
Dropped it fast because it's not fun to play and I can read a book or watch a movie over some c-tier narrative

This. It's The Witcher 3 with guns.
Not inherently a bad thing, but that's what it is.

well, they should know that you never buy a game on launch, but they are just canon fodders, someone has to give money to CDPR

>Still has great writing, stories, characters
>Still a great setting
That's literally what Witcher 3 was praised for and this game is no different

I mean, it's better than Skyrim.

>CP

Attached: a-62.jpg (696x554, 178.5K)

>>Stats and progression
madden is an rpg

>>Different character builds
it all plays the same

>Roleplaying
all situations are railroad into one outcome. there's barely any choices to be made. the game is an interactive story being told to you that has very little reactivity

>masterpiece

Skyrim is good for different reasons, like flying to college on a bucket or jumping your horse off a dragon's back and over some mountain ranges.

It's the least fun I have ever had, even when I forced myself to continue on repeatedly telling myself, maybe my opinion will change after one last mission, one more hour. I'll be over the hill and it will be an easy ride down but it never came. It's shit to play from start to finish. Everything explosively blasts off in every direction in a puttering embarrassment the moment Jackie dead.
