What is the lowest graphics games you can enjoy? For me GTA V is the minimum, and only barely acceptable. I need this information for my school project.
What is the lowest graphics games you can enjoy? For me GTA V is the minimum, and only barely acceptable...
what's your project?
i still play tetris
To explain what level of graphics people find acceptable and then comment on why I agree/disagree and how these expectations (or lack thereof) affect the gaming industry.
I can play HL1-tier 3d or pixel RPGs because I complete the rest with my imagination.
just keep in mind that art style/genre affect how ppl define "low graphics". for example Bioshock Infinite/ borderlands have cartoonish graphics compared to GTA V
sometimes playing games at the lowest possible graphix possible is the most fun, seeing just how shit a game can really look is the most fun. im not talking about setting things to low in the options i mean going into config files and what not
The question makes no sense
What do you expect should I give you a polygon count?
Cyberpunk definetly impresses me with it's graphics, but I don't mind playing something like hades either
This question is fucked.
You have stylized games ontop of hyper realistic games to cartoonish games
i can only play games released on nes and later consoles.
almost all atari games are too old for me
what class is this lmao
ASCII topdown shit is my limit. Stuff like Stone Story RPG is alright. I'm much more receptive to bad animations or bad sound design.
ummmm your school project stinks
Rainbow Six Siege at the lowest still looks nice.
pong
Depends. 2D anything VGA and up, i.e. 320x240 at 256 colors. 3D... hard to say. Early 3D makes my eyes bleed, so perhaps anything Unreal Tournament (first one) and up?
Sprites
I can't stand old 3d
I was playing Medium/High and getting 50+ fps but I actually hate fluctuating fps so I switched to medium and got 60 stable and I think it looks fine
60fps stable is more important than looks I think
If we're talking about 3D, anything better than PS1's pixelated textures and wobbly polygons goes. As for 2D games, so long as I can actually discern what's happening on the screen (so ASCII Dwarf Fortress and the like is out of the question), it'll do.
I played Thief Gold in 2013 and liked it, so as far as 3D goes pretty low.
But I refuse to play 2D platformers and sprites.
holy fuck this board is retarded, why does it even matter?
ascii
nothing lower than the original doom
Text based games
Depends if it's actually a good game or not
GTAV has great graphics on PC. If you're going to be an elitist moron about the whole thing then don't bother doing a project on it you dumbass.
remedial in-school suspension for dumbass kids to write papers about gatekeeping over graphics of all things, so retard class I guess
i was playing scramble on the vectrex just this afternoon
I still enjoy pixel art games gba/snes. Though not much of a fan of NES. I actually enjoy a lot of stylistic games like Paper Mario which still hold up well on both the N64 and GC because it is not trying to be too realistic.
what school do you go to where soliciting your retarded opinion constitutes a "project"
