Except Cyberpunk doesn't mention DLC at all. The story is over and the game is letting you know that if you keep playing it'll be dropping you back into the open world pre-final mission. There's nothing disgusting about this at all.

This is pretty standard for most games

Open world games tend to be open ended, there's more to do even if the story has ended. Since the end of a game's story can potentially alter the world in a way that would prevent you from playing the game like fucking dying, the game may choose to goes back and pretend the ending never happened. This is standard shit.
