last ea game i played was madden 16 and i got it for free with xbox gold. EA play is also being folded into microsoft gamepass so a deal was made 100%. no publicity is good publicity nowadays

Dirt 2 was already full of dlcs, but this is sad nonetheless.

To be honest, Dirt Rally 2.0 and Dirt 5 already felt like EA games.

Back when they were deciding on the new direction after Phil got the green light in 2017 they were legitimately thinking of acquiring EA, but the problem was EA relied on so many licensed games that would have to ship on other platforms due to licensing requirements and at the time they would have to spend more on getting Respawn (Who were independent at the time) as well. So they passed on that idea.

What if EA makes them go back to making Game Genies, but they only work with microtransactions?

This might be a good thing. Either out of greed or desperation, the monetization system of Codemasters games in the past few years has been just bad, and all of their games (except F1) have been reviewbombed as a result.
With a cash influx by EA, things might turn around.

Can't wait to roll gacha for amx and get Buttass instead.
