OH NO NO NO

Well lets be fair...its not a good game.

Its really not. The only people jerking off about it are pen and paper boomers that are willing to tolerate basic average FPS gameplay as long as they can jerk their micropenises that there's an actual "tabletop game rule set" governing the "rpg system" which is also, extremely basic and lacks any innovation at all.

It looks great, but the gameplay feels about as polished as the gameplay in the original Deus Ex...which is to say, not at all.

Its a 7/10 game at best that is currently being artificially inflated by hype sales and people being unwilling to call it what it is...a basic RPG that is unsatisfying to play filled with lore you probably never heard of or cared about that lacks even the courtesy of having some kind of fun systems design that engages a non-lore aware player and draws them into it.

If you slapped a bunch of neon on any average and stapled a boiclit to a female main character....you'd basically have Cyberpunk 2077.

And in an era of big IP/big hype failures, people just aren't willing to accept that their current BAE, CDPR, has stumbled and fallen.

people need to stop comparing this piece of shit to deus ex. deus ex was a targeted game with actual goals and varied approaches to problem solving in well designed maps. cyberpunk is a shitty gta clone with haphazardly designed encounters strewn across a fuckyou large lifeless mess of a map

It's 6/10 at most

Well right what I'm saying is that Deus Ex was one of those sleeper hits that actually carried its game based on an extremely well written Warren Spector story and some "innovative" game systems designs at the time.

Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't feel materially better than Deus Ex did...and lets be fair, as good as Deus Ex was, if you played it today it would feel like shit...and that's exactly what CDPR's gameplay feels like....shit.

>only 29%
It just tanked super fucking hard one hour ago.
Probably because they just stated they will be issuing refunds, so it's bound to go even lower.

Imagine investing in scam artists lmao.

Good. Fuck CDPR. If you release something on console you better make it good. The shit ports are for pcniggers to deal with.

the story feels like shadow warrior 2 with futuristic themes. game is enjoyable otherwise

Holy fucking shit, almost 50% drop in 4 days.

console cope will cannibalize the entire industry

CD Project Retards are used to fucking over PC peasants the confused it with consoles. They're fucked.

Sony doesn't normally allow refunds and even they're making an exception for this piece of shit. It's getting pretty bad.

I'm maxing this game in PC and it's just an amalgamation of half assed "features" done better by other games from up to 20 years ago.
It looks pretty but what does that fucking matters when everything is lifeless and there's almost nothing to do?

How did witcher 3 had more rpg mechanics/gameplay and romances than this game?
It's not just the bugs/performance issues, once you get past that you meet with an incredibly mediocre game.

You do realize it's not investors dropping prices right?
CDPR employees get paid based on a percentage of sales as a straight dollar amount, or stock options. The owners of the company dump their own to lower the price so any employee would feel incentivized to choose stock over cash bonus.

You people are fucking retarded.

makes sense considering Zig Forums is full of thirdworld nostonks

>varied approaches to problem solving in well designed maps.
It always makes me laugh seeing LARPing zoomers and rose-tinted glasses types claim that Deus ex had good map design. Deus ex's maps were hideous fucking messes, especially Hong Kong and Liberty island.

I watched some streams to see what the hype is about.
What a boring ass game. 1 hour watch time, 50 minutes was just talking and more talking. Just like the Witcher 3. CDPR is overrated and their games suck.

On PC is broken too. Bugs and shit are still there.

>if you played it today it would feel like shit

True. The game is horribly outdated. I hope to see a remaster of it.
I'm cooming when i imagine Deus Ex with Cyberpunk 2077 graphics and modernized gameplay.

good morning

>and lets be fair, as good as Deus Ex was, if you played it today it would feel like shit
I played deus ex for the first time last year and it's one of my favorite games.
Actual good games never become "outdated".

They're just complaining about the graphics.

This.

Hell, I never actually played most of the "classic" when I was young and they were new. I played Half Life 1, Deus Ex, System Shock 2 and Thief all recently and honestly I enjoyed them more then most modern games.

Actual retro games graphics have a certain soul that modern attempts to re-create almost never catch.

I've never claimed that the maps were good, for the time they were acceptable I mean you're talking about an era where this kind of design was just really starting to become possible after all. Deus Ex was made in the original Unreal Engine, and for its time was presenting the environments it was trying to portray quite well given that almost no one had ever done that kind of thing yet.

But great? No, from a modern perspective they're bsp based hellscapes that approximate an idea of a place, but apply that to literally any game made around that time or before and the overall statement can be made about any and all of them.

They already dropped by 13% just today and the market was only just opened

Its a good game with a good story.

The systems are dated, is what I mean. There are literal better/more engaging/more fun ways of doing all the stuff the original Deus Ex does, gameplay wise and many games have done it since then.

The story carried Deus Ex in its original state and the story is what carries it now...the gameplay certainly would not.

>The shares fell 15% to 272 zloty at 10:51 a.m. in Warsaw and have now lost 37% of their market value since the first Cyberpunk 2077 reviews were published last week, erasing all of this year’s gains.

>I've never claimed that the maps were good,
You literally quite called them "well designed".

>for the time they were acceptable
No they weren't zoomer. Deus ex came out as a game sandwiched between level design like halflife and thief on one end and GTA3 and Morrowind on the other. For the time the level design was absolutely atrocious - lifeless, flat open spaces and samey mazes.
Deus ex stood out because of it's unique blend of FPS and RPG and it's multiple endings, everything else about it was sub par, especially the level design and combat.

It's over.
