to their credit they weren't actually lying by showing off features that wouldn't exist in the final product, they were trying to be le quirky Triple A early access devs by being open and honest about development but we all know that due to time constraints all games are going to get scaled back off their lofty design goals and they're rarely inclined to ever share that kind of information because it's a big PR no no to not deliver a promised feature.

Compare the Bioshock infinite trailer to the final product for a good example of this in action.
