Why is this game so fucking hard holy shit

Why is this game so fucking hard holy shit.

>He never beat Wizpig
Git gud.
DKR is the racing equivalent of Kaizo. Wizpig fight is literally rom hack level of one major mistake and you have to restart

I only remember this guy being hard. I'm pretty sure nothing on the way to the main ending is harder than pinstripe in CTR. DKR is goat. I never met anyone else who played Drumstick.

>Need to beat every TT time for TT
>Last boss fight is way easier than the first and that's the only place it would be useful

Thanks game

Tap A rapidly to gain speed, win every race without problems

I actually did!

But I'm doing it again and it's still hard!

>pinstripe
holy shit git gud
why have so many people struggled with that shitter

This game came bundled with my N64
It was a perfect first game when I was a kid, only got as far as wiz pigs first race as a kid before I gave up but picked it back up one summer in 8th grade and beat the rest of the game

Also tiptup is the GOAT

This game is legit fucking brutal. They removed the silver coin challenge in the DS version and I can't disagree with that decision.

He's the only boss that has both you in the hovercraft and places hazards on the track so probably people who never learned how to dodge shit.

This

Racing Wizpig for the first time is a nightmare. He pretty much has a stupid lead and you have to actually learn advanced tech moves and be almost perfect just to beat him. One little mistake and you wont be able to catch up

yet his last final race is a complete joke and really easy to beat

>beat this as a 10 year old
>zoomer on top of it
what's your excuse for not beating it?

I’ve beaten the first race, but never his second one.

>both you in the hovercraft
huh?
>places hazards on the track
what?
First off, you are never forced to use the hovercraft (in fact, in original CTR, you cannot ever use it). Secondly, Pinstripe doesn't leave hazards on the track, he throws bombs that blow up as soon as they hit anything. Finally, all three previous bosses DID leave stationary hazards on the track.

I fucking hated the silver coin challenges holy shit. They were placed in such inconvenient spots most of the time and you still had to place in 1st to have it count

I suck at videogames.

His second is easier because you are flying so movements for both racers are slower and you have more of a fighting chance to catch up even if you made an error. Plus you can use the seeker missiles to hit him and eventually catch up

I completed it on the ds version. What's the n64 one like?

>He never beat Wizpig
You're damn right I didn't.

has there been another racing game since then that features an open-world/hub/adventure mode and also co-op?

I have autism

>silver coin
I hated that shit, especially with hovercraft and planes
It had Banjo and Conker.

>The Greenwood Village Coin Challenge
>The Boulder Canyon one
>The Windmill Plains one
World 4 did not fuck around with that, though Haunted Woods was the easiest of the bunch.

The truly evil thing most people don't realize, is in the mirrored version of the campaign you unlock the coins have different, even more cruel placements. Some of theatre downright sadistic.

>Not able to beat Wizpig no matter how much I tried
>Use Google to see if there was any tech I had missed
>Turns out you gain significantly more speed by letting go of A when using the speed pads
>Win on 1st or 2nd try after discovering that

>finally beating T.T. ghosts as a kid

>silver coin
made me drop the game at the end.

That's actually disappointing
Mario kart 64 is hailed as the best kart game on the console and sure for casual play thats definitely the truth but for competitive or challenging single player trials DKR had plenty for you to do

Who's harder, wizpig or Very Hard deathborn?

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 98.69K)

This guy is actually easier than I remember on my last playthrough. on th other hand the dragon actually gave me way more trouble than I remembered.

Wizpig is still a bitch though.

This isn't even a joke GX is way harder than anything else discussed in this thread

Im pretty sure Taj tells you something like that at some point. After every point in the game when you cleared a milestone he gives you a specific advice that tell you about advance techniques

GX is a harder game overall

Good to know, beating GX chapters on very hard feels like it takes a fucking year off my life for each one

fuck off zoomer

He does but only if you have subtitles on. Otherwise he just says he's got something for you, stares at you for a few seconds and the screen fades out.

I'm sure he does, but I probably got impatient due to his long unskippable intro and just mashed through the text
