Which is the "allowance" I was talking about. Those quests are usually deliberately tedious and time-consuming, specifically to make you go "fuck that, I'll just pay this time" at least a couple times throught game's life cycle- which, multiplied by millions of players and supplemented by a small bunch of whales, makes insane profits. I wouldn't be surprised if that "game" already made more money than all mainline Sonic entries.
