Does lifting theoretically help improve heart rate? I mean obviously it's not cardio, but you're consistently getting your heart rate up.

It's probably higher than that, the number came from a crappy chink fitness watch that doesn't charge anymore. I would drop to 30 in my sleep some nights. I would hazard a guess that the thing was off by as much as 50-80%.
I should probably have a sleep study done though.
Just take your phone out, start the timer and feel your pulse for 30 seconds while sitting calmly. Multiply that by 2.
Your resting pulse should be pretty consistent day to day, give or take a few beats.

Well I'm not fat my BMI is 21.4.
I could definitely work out more, I've been doing bodyweight work outs at home and have an active job. I definitely know people more out of shape then me and their heart rates are in the 70s at most. Did I just get the shitty end of the genetic stick.
