Chicken and rice

Chicken and rice for bulking?
I eat chicken and rice usually twice a day, bulking at 3kcal
Is this a bad food to have as a staple of a bulking diet?
Any recommendations of better meal examples to get the calories/protein in?
Not opposed to less healthy options but don't wanna chug pints of whole milk either

Lentils instead of Rice
Fatty fish instead of chicken

id say beef or pork instead of fish.
also, rice is easy to eat in large amounts. lentils is a lot more filling so i think you'll have trouble to eat larger amounts

yes avoid sugary sauces if you can. Preferably make your own with oyster sauce, soi sauce, rice vinegar, honey, chili paste and corn starch(thickener). You can customize to your taste and save money in the long run

Skip the sugar, yes. Just use hot sauce or make homemade tzatziki (with raw garlic for extra health benefits) to go with it.

I have 380cal of rice usually, adds to 550ish per bowl

what i wanna know most is is this considered a light calorie meal that one might prefer on a cut instead? seems filling

Eggs, oats , blueberries, oj for vit c, spinach , tons of rice

My breakfast is 4 wheat biscuits with whole milk, 2 tblspoon peanut butter and a glass of oj, will add some blueberries or banana, every little helps

No it‘s not a light meal with the rice. If you want to up the calories, use the chicken to make coconut curry (with lots of coconut milk) and add butter to the rice.

Or make chicken satay, which is a peanut butter sauce. Very calorie dense and delicious.

Do whatever you have to do to make it palatable. The biggest problem you will face when bulking is getting bored of your food.
