hello fellow binge eater
intermittent fasting and switching for healthier options for when i do feel the need to binge is what worked for me
rather than eating an entire packet of salt and vinegar chips or whatever ill eat some cruskits for the crunch factor
If you drink soda or energy drinks, stop.
Don't rely on raw willpower alone. Instead, structure your life so that you encounter fewer temptations in the first place.
Don't have junk food in the house. Just buy groceries for the recipes you plan to eat. Focus on the foods you want to ADD to your diet instead of the ones you're cutting out, and if you just have those in your fridge, those are what you will eat most often.
Accept that you won't cut junk food cold turkey for the rest of your life, but just have a candy bar every now and then or order McDonald's occassionally instead of making that shit 80% of your diet.
I'll never be obese because 1 day of binging makes me hate eating for a few days following

Slim Fast and psyllium husk for breakfast. Psyllium husk is good for digestion and fiber, but what it doesn't advertise is that it expands in liquid, which means it makes you feel fuller when it's digested. Also, brew your own ice tea and lemonade to get over soda, and if you do have soda, make sure its made only with real sugar, no high fructose corn syrup. HFCS can become addictive and its also bad for your skin.
fast for three days and it will reset your metabolism and need for constant food ingestion. Find your TDEE if you're as fat as you claim its gonna be 3500+ calories a day. Eat 2k and work your way down from there.
My suggestion? Do OMAD and eat a massive meal to trick your body.
Buy a scale and use grams, switch to diet soda if you constantly drink it and ween yourself off of it (half a can to a can every 3 days) drink water when you feel hungry.
By day three of the fast you will be completely lightheaded. This is normal you're flushing the salt in your body and will go back to normal levels after you eat. At this point too you will probably shit yourself within the first week. I'm talking "I trusted a fart and shit everywhere" or "It literally leaked out of my asshole and I had no idea" Your body digest food in 3 day increments so since you have stored food from yesterday your body will take the extra calories you need from the food you just ingested. It doesn't immediately take it from your fat. So you will shit yourself at least twice.

This cannot be stressed enough. When you have the option to fail, you should know damn well that it's possible for you to take it.
Make it impossible for you to go down the wrong road. Buy your own food. Make a list. Stick with it so that your hardest test is picking out the right food ahead of time instead of buying a pizza and having it sit there in the fridge the entire week you're trying to diet mocking you.
Set yourself up for success any way you can think of, and you'll find that a journey has much less hardship involved. Plan your road to victory beforehand and then merely EXECUTE.
Addiction is just an outward manifestation of a lack of structure, goals, and community in your life.
The long-term fix would be to fix all of the mentioned above.
The short-term fix would be to get addicted to something else. Like coffee. It has appetie-suppresant properties.

Yeah this. Write out a groccery list for every meal you plan to eat that week, and when you go shopping you'll be less inclined to grab random junk. Also, go shopping after you've eaten.
First off... you need to start fucking panicking. That little voice you've been putting off listening to? That's your survival instinct you've been trying to drown out. Realize you are literally in a fight for your life...
You need to fill the void with something else. Start running, can't run? Then walk, can't walk because it hurts? Then start swimming at the local YMCA. Realize that damn near every reason you will come up to not to do it is an excuse NOT a reason.

Yeah I want to make the change but the cravings and addiction are just so fucking strong. If I don’t have access to food when I have cravings I’ll bang my head on shit and curl up. It’s horrible.

Nah You just got trick the body, I always hated vegetables but I discovered I really really enjoy them if I put them in sandwiches and wraps with tuna or chicken or whatever,and they fill you up like a motherfucker,same with homemade popcorn since you dont use butter just a bit of oil spray they are low cal as fuck and fill you up like crazy.

I don’t even know about this to be honest. I’m in such a fucked position that I think I have no chance. I just have no willpower and the goal feels to intangible. I don’t know how to describe it but I just think I’m not as attuned to reality as most people? Like I kind of have to pretend to give a shit? This is the thing I care about most in the entire world by far but it still doesn’t feel “real” and so I just eat 6-8 thousand calories a day
