Our prom was actually attached to our high school graduation. We had the ceremony, then they cleared out the place and set up a lot of games (floor hockey, bull riding, those fat sumo suits etc), a separate room as a room to dance in, another place for massages and fake tattoos. Everyone was already there, was a pretty fun time all around. I danced with a nerd-girl who I think we were mutually attracted since middle school but nothing ever happened (she had a b/f at the time who looked similar to me but was shorter).

What was weird too was that a few of the most popular girls actually dipped from it, they had older boyfriends and probably wanted to go out drinking or whatever, so they seemingly didn't care about or want the prom experience that people seem so upset they missed

It was an interesting night. Went with this petite, big busted girl I had been dating, along with my friends and their dates. Went to the club it was held at and then headed back to the school for the all night party. One the way home we had the bright idea to stop at a Walmart so six of us in tuxes and gowns go in and shop. The manager saw us and gave us free CD's.

My school didn't do really emphasize the whole prom date part of it it was more of a shool dinner at a fancy hotel with a prom awards ceremony where the cheaped the fuck out on the portion sizes, and there was a dance at the very end that no one even cared to take part in besides the actual couples.

Im old now so it all sounds immature but it was like living a wet dream at the time. And now she is fat and poor and covered in shitty tattoos so I got while the gettin was good.

I didn't go to my prom because I hated just about /everyone/ in my grade. I went to the previous year's prom though because I was dating a cute girl a year above me and somehow had friends that were all apparently in that year too

Yes, Inside and out. She was an incredibly short, blonde skater girl with the ends of her hair dyed pink. I bet we probably would've gotten married and all that shit if we met each other at a different time in life, but I wouldn't be completely surprised if she's completely changed and lost who she was by now like most people do.
I just hope that the girl's safe and happy wherever the hell she ended up, since I couldn't find anyone the three times I tried/bothered to care about social media.

Kinda. It was okay but overpriced. It felt like a bit of a waste of time though, and most people only went because of the part where we went on a bus ride to go on a boat after.

I've forgotten some slight minor details but I still remember various parts and big details, like one of my friends getting asked by a normalfag who just wanted to /go/ there and ended up sitting at a table with her friend and never dancing with the guy. It's also because I was a "floater" with friend groups as it were, so it was pretty much the only time I'd ever had everyone I'd considered a friend in the same room together.

my whole high school experience felt like a meme because every year was like a radically different life, especially since my high school had two different campuses that split between first two and last two years. My junior year turned out to be the normalfag year, and I can see why some people enjoy that type of lifestyle of meeting up with friends every week. There were some parts of it I didn't like though, but there's no such thing as a perfect life.

Went to prom without a date, a few of my friends did too so it wasnt that awkward.
The prom itself wasnt really anything special, but I did go to an afterparty that was the only time I ever went to a party in highschool.

i went with a very pretty girl, my first crush actually, and we made out. The whole room was filled with people i knew and loved all through high school as i had very few enemies. We partied until the sun came up and then took the bus home together with all my best friends. one of the best nights of my life

I went without partner (like most of guys from my class) and I arrived pretty late and I couldnt find a seat so I ommited toast (despite being there on time and just standing helplessly). Later I managed to find a seat when someone left theirs.
I was constantly going out for a smoke through whole prom, just hoping it would ease my suffering and using it as an excuse to well not standing there helplessly. I dont think I have ever smoked more than then, I smoked like one and a half pack of cigarettes in one evening.
I should also mention that i was full sperg outsider through highschool, I really tried to make friends the first year but later gave up and the third (final) was the worst for me. Good thing is at lest I had two people to talk to sometimes from my class.
Continuing about my prom - later me, my two "friends" and one other guy went to gas station near the place to buy vodka. My two friend got "caught" so I and this guy did it, we got really drunk and he started moaning about a girl who rejected him (she was on this prom too).
Long story short I tried to comfort him saying she was a small tit whore not worth him.
Later he got a taxi to home and I came back to prom very drunk and met and talked with my friend (he was pretty sober). Teachers recognized I was drunk and one of them commanded me to make a call to my mom cause she wouldt let me come home alone but fortunately my friend declared that hus dad will drive me home. And thats pretty everything, I dont remember i food was god and I tried to dance alone for like 5mins before going to the gas station.
This was early last year, since my graduation I worked for a week and started studying at a university and i left after one and a half months. Other than that Im KHV NEET since.

Are you meant to have sex after prom night? Not sure what the social convention is...

canadian here, we didnt have a prom but our graduation was a big to do with suits at an auditorium with music and stuff
