Anyone platform which upholds freedom of speech is censored by (((the powers that be))). There are two avenues to this - withdraw or threaten to withdraw payment channels unless censorship demands are met, i.e. gab removing posts from Patrick Little. Fiat channels are gatewayed and to use them is to be at the mercy of paypal, VISA, the banks, and governments.
The solution? Use cryptocurrency - specifically DAI. DAI provides all of the benefits of BTC while maintaining price parity with the US dollar. Each DAI is backed by ETH collateral sitting in a smart contract and stays stable even if the collateral does not (the particular ways it accomplishes this will not be explained here, but you can check the price history if you don't believe the system works). It does NOT use a bank & has ZERO counterparty risk.
It is NOT private, but zk (zero knowledge) DAI has been successfully implemented so things may change in the future. DAI can be sold for ETH and then XMR and then USD, so it can be extracted back into USD privately to meet any real world obligations.
The other avenue is to cut hosting entirely. I think this is a secondary issue as even gab, piratebay somehow manage to stay online, with occasional interruptions. The solution here is to put the service on something like a TOR hidden service or to distribute the contents between the users (like ZeroNet).

you can take the donated DAI and acquire ETH by closing underwater CDPs (No KYC, No counterparty risk). Then you swap for XMR on an exchange like Bisq.
If the zk-dai thing comes to fruition, then the above won't be necessary. There's probably other ways to do it that I'm not thinking of.
If you think you can get away with it, sell the DAI for ETH and then XMR on a regular exchange.
You can sell the XMR for BTC or ETH and then cash out that. It doesn't matter if you use a bank at this point because the source of funds are protected. Just say you're a trader and do all the KYC you want.

Accepting crypto currency is only feasible if you remain anonymous yourself, because if you don't then any exchange will just ban you as a person. Because to actually explain how to the MKR system works would take thousands of words. I can give you a start.
I can give you a start. MKR is a decentralized lending system, you put up collateral (ETH) in a CDP (collateralized debt position) and get a loan in DAI. You can spend the DAI on anything. If you use it to buy ETH you have what is effectively a margin long in ETH. To get your collateral back you must only pay back the loan. If the value of the collateral increases, then nothing happens because every DAI is stil backed by at least 1 USD of ETH. If the value of the collateral falls too much, the ETH will be liquidated at a 3% discount for DAI. This ensures that all outstanding DAI is backed by sufficient ETH. If the price of ETH falls too quickly and the collateral cannot be sold in time, this gets into another security mechanism involving PETH (pooled ethereum). There is also another token called MKR which plays its own role in the system.
But none of this is important because you don't have to actually open a CDP to own DAI.
