Mozilla's manifesto

"We are committed to an internet that includes all the peoples of the earth — where a person’s demographic characteristics do not determine their online access, opportunities, or quality of experience."

What do you think about this quote? Are there really demographics out there which suffer from "bad quality internet experience" ? Is there maliciousness behind this principle?

It sounds to me like the best way to ensure it is to drop all diversity outreach programmes and take contributions based on merit only. I've never given a shit to know whether my browser is made by a black disabled transgender furry

Well, I doubt some nigger in the savanna with an ancient PC due to lacking access to anything new would have a good internet experience since the web is so shit. Web bloat is racist.

Sounds like a justification for censorship. 8ch censored from furryfox when?

It's virtue-signalling bullshit. If Mozilla really cared they would invest efforts into making the internet a better experience for people with bad eyesight and people with weak hardware, not put up gay flags and obsess over pronouns. It's just a way of deflecting criticism.

It's called "any Internet 2.0 user". If a website doesn't work right in lynx (and most don't nowadays), it's shit.
Not to mention, modern websites barely run on even 5 year old hardware. Good luck being a nigger getting 1$ a day and affording hardware worth at least 50$ to run a browser. Actually, on second thought, maybe we could use more JS

There’s always malicious intent when it comes to corporations. It’s not
that people suffer from low-quality internet experience, they “suffer”
from the lack of satanic propaganda.

Yes, holohoax exposers, anti-LGBT proponents and purveyors of gay frog conspiracies suffer extreme discrimination.

It's ironic coming from the people who produce such a bloated monstrosity of a browser. The hardware that noggers and paddy hoppers (the "demographic characteristics" of most of those who are excluded by the current shiternet) might be able to afford couldn't run modern Firefox.

Platitudes, it's just a browser that treat and render webpage. They have no authority on how people connect to internet.
Unless they are using funds to pay for infrastructure, which I have yet to see if they do.

Kike marxism

This might be the solution for how we can get hipsters to drop the idea of dumping a 4 mb js pozload on their readers.

...

I think we should give up on net neutrality and stop increasing our bandwidth, and instead give that bandwidth to developing nations :^) Imagine if we all went back to 5mbps internet, we could give so much more bandwidth to under privileged people.

We should start a petition and make something on reddit :)

5mbps is unironically plenty fast for almost anything. A few years ago I used to get like 100kbps down, and it was fine except for trying to download torrents and watch videos. Once I started getting 1-2 mbps I was honestly fine, didn't think I needed more.

This. Sites that don't load without javascript should be considered a hate crime.

Australia has shit tier internet, they should begin there

I hope this means they're gonna continue with Firefox OS or something similar.

Fats are classified as monsters (kind of like zombies) so if you see a fat person, make sure you cut down their internet.

LOL

absolutely plebeian

My Mozilla report is finished. Hope it's fine If I link it: digdeeper.neocities.org/ghost/mozilla.html. Didn't end up using the quote at all.

are you talking megabits or megabytes?
5 megabits is 5/8 of a megabyte so that isn't very fast.

Thanks reading now.

Hmm. That's interesting in light of the fact that Mozilla says it spends all its money on their so-called mission.

Sounds about right.

off by one

sorry just had to

There's no difference with the way these browsers operate by default. You start typing a url in the url widget, and it fucking starts to search google for suggestions. Nevermind that the browser also has a search widget, it's totally redundant.

Well done.

Mozilla's Firefox has insane defaults, it does not give its users the control they deserve. Mozilla has been destroying the browser for some years now.
I think its time for a serious (but maintainable) fork of Firefox, we can utilize some of the existing forks and the plethora of projects in order to create a great browser that really cares about its users.

The traditional web is pozzed beyond redemption, it would be much more worthwhile to focus efforts towards a text-only information distribution platform. You could also include modules to extract data from traditional js+css websites like does, and present their information as plain text with minimal markup

bad quality internet experience is literally anything who isnt you
you cant change peoples nature with statements mozilla
its just who they are
