I guess it's just a matter of priorities. Gab has openly declared war on Twitter and SV in general. It's a big part of the 'alt-tech' movement, it's been growing pretty fast and could maybe, one day, become a legitimate threat. Stormfront, on the other hand, might be more extreme but is so small that it's barely on their radar, and it has no chance of becoming mainstream.

I'd never use gab because torba's a kike, but it's a good signifier of what's just not possible on the internet anymore, and what steps you need to take if you want to host something controversial. I think cuckchan is next, because after stripe banned them hiroshima splintered 4channel off which will ban any type of posting which will draws the ire of the longnose tribe. The next logical step for him is to remove all boards left behind on the 4chan domain. After that 8ch will probably be pressured out either by banks or by their hosts. Once Zig Forums is dead you'll either be confined to tiny imageboards hosted on the regular web - doomed to be deplatformed if it grows too large - or host it on the darknet, or on something decentralized like bittorrent/DHT. The future I envision is very dark, I really don't see a place for freedom of expression in the coming decades
