Has the internet doomed humanity as a whole?

The real question is did internet do more harm than TV would have if the internet didn't exist? That's where the analysis needs to be made.

It doesn't matter, because it did a good TV would never manage to make.

And only a free internet without censorship can do this.

TV is one-way. Only propaganda. Internet enables discussion and exchanging ideas.

I messed up. Its in the middle of the night here... Meant to also answer to

Easy access to information is always good. The main problem right now is centralization. (Propaganda isn't an issue because if you fall for propaganda it probably means you're a stupid person.) If we can get to the point where it's utterly impossible for governments to censor or bring down the net it would be optimal.

and that's not possible as long as they exist

Pretty much. It has numbed people. Even if you read "redpilled" content, well you're still sitting there reading...

It's hard to say. I think wrong usage of the internet is making people mentally ill. We are certainly over-using it as a solution to anything and everything right now. I hope eventually we'll learn the dangers and take a more responsible approach. It happened and worked before.

What is this """humanity"""? If you count skynet as a part of humanity, as it's made by humans and uses humans, then no, it's only helping humanity. If you measure humanity by self-improvement, critical thought and whatnot, then yes, humanity is doomed: the internet thrives on making you feel good, not on making you a better person.

Internet also enables echochambers.

Shut up nigger
