Ryzen 7 2nd Gen > Convince me why it's better than Intel

Only X-series Ryzens have XFR, that's why you should not overclock a 2700X but use Precision Boost Overdrive.

The Radeon 7 is fine.

What's the best price/performance CPU atm?
To me it seems like the AMD Ryzen 7 1700X.

Built my moms a ryzen 2400g micro sans graka the little nigger is running gud so far, had to splurge on the ram tho fuck my ass and mouth fast ram is expensive..double triple check the board u are getting stay the fuck away from the x370s imo

What's wrong with x370?

Shit VRMs mostly, unless you go balls to the wall with a Crosshair VI Hero/Extreme.

Game performance is sub-par, fails to beat an i5.

For everything else Ryzen is great, better performance/price than Intel even. For everything EXCEPT GAMES. So the crucial question is, what use case actually brings the CPU to its knees? Do you ever render video? Do you ever do anything besides run video games that will actually take advantage of a brand new CPU? Ryzenfags will never admit this but if video games are the only use case where performance is crucial then you should just get an i5, or even an i3.

I don't know what his reasons against the 370 specifically were but I built a 2200G machine so I can tell you this: The 300 mainboards don't natively support the 2000 APUs, and making them compatible requires a Ryzen 1000 CPU. out of the box compatibility requires a 450 or 470 board. the APU launch was a mess.

Many mobos overclock intels by default and they tend to get too hot.
I don't think your claim is fair. Games aren't any different to other applications.
Kek, I'm on an Intel i5 3330. That's basically the oldest shit with the marketing name i5. I can play lot's of vidya at constant 144Hz due to my GPU. The increase in CPU performance in the last years has been fucking laughable, so I can only recommend anons to get best price/performance CPUs.
Furthermore Intel has a billion sockets for every little shit. If you ever want to upgrade within a RAM DDR cycle you still have to get a new mobo because >muh socket.
