Most people in IT/programming aren't paid that much. It's a myth. A complete myth. The statistics are entirely inflated from shitholes like LA and NYC where you might get paid 100-120k a year but are paying 4k a month to rent a closet flat on the same street as the homeless fentanyl coven, just a few stories up, not to mention the increased cost of literally everything else and higher taxes on top of it all, including the city tax that you are paying for the privilege of staying there! No, no. The average programmer salary in the rest of the states if you're lucky is 50-60k, so stop with the delusion that you're in some super lucrative field, because literally any profession can net you 200k in the middle of an urban insect colony.
