Thoughts?

Is this a Dissenter joke? Or are you just a tragic late idea guy?

I did just read about Dissenter, just I didn't like what they did.

Are you talking about the loli/shota/cub ban they have?

I didn't know about that, care to share the details?

then do it better. It still needs to be hosted somewhere and you still need something like an extension or a local daemon to work with the page.
to work on the backend you could just have a page at your hosting that just shows/works with comments.
you can use shared hosting, make comment reads purely static, with no dynamic content at all, not even mapping URLs to files, and you can make comment writes as cheap and fast as open(O_APPEND); write(); close(). write a hash of the commenter's IP and let people filter ids locally to deal with spam

There's really not much too it. The guy who owns gab and dissenter banned it after it was being posted for a while, moral grandstanded about it in the most obnoxious fashion- and then everyone but Zig Forums forgot about it.

boomers called the site a scam, and incidentally attacked it for child porn meaning loli content, so Andrew Torba deflected in the direction of calling people who think that child porn involves children "demons". Two years into the site and he suddenly discovers a free speech exception for cartoons.

Too bad I'm an inexperienced noob who has written nothing worth a shit. I'll still put it into my backlog of "programs/things to write"

yikes, if I were running things, I'd never ban anything, unless of course illegal, but even then only give finite bans and not report it. this is all in theory, but we all know in practice, if they really wanted me to forward IPs, they'd achieve it by any means

you don't need to be able to do it all yourself, but you've got to be able to contribute something other than the idea and the logo if you want something to happen.

Okay,
It's just reddit, then
"Let's just put incoherent things together"
Don't you realize how many links are there in the internet? Not to mention blocking if you plan to make crawlers.
Wow! revolutionary cross-platform is so inviting!
Boring. Just make archival systems at this point.
Look what Youtube binge did to you.

Come back when you're 18+ yo

Archive.org clone + Disqus
Next.
one more step. you have to solve the captcha to prove you're not a bot meant for collecting links

you really think i'm going to go through every single link ever and build a databe of comments for it?
of course not, if a user comments on a never commented link, it just gets added to a databe
that way, about 99% of links don't even have to be touched
this implies you're dumb, because what I said was coherent

Of course, you have to be snarky and condescending, you're the underage child here.

oh yess, that reminds me, user said he wouldn't want to give some sites clicks, so he said he'd want for a way to still comment/view but not give the site clicks, that must be implemented too

So basically an external comment system for websites.
You could have just said that.

It doesn't sound like he's trying to make a link aggregation site.

Cub ends up just being child pron way too often (because furries are consistently terrible people) so I understand restricting that, but any place that bans loli/shota ends up being a goon-filled shithole.

How though? Both are drawings, and cub is probably a bit further from fitting the cheese pizza definition by depicting characters that aren't/don't look human or even some special snowflake species that doesn't actually exist. or am I missing something, and it refers to 3DPD as well?

what you're missing is the sheer degeneracy of furries as a group. give them a pass "because it's cartoons" and they'll be sharing pics of human toddlers getting manipulated by suited men into involuntarily raping canine toddlers to death with nail bats.

I'm pretty sure they'd do so regardless.

yeah putting the comments behind tor or i2p would automatically give you a lot of assurance of privacy.
