Beltane honours Life. It represents the peak of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active. All of life is bursting with potent fertility and at this point in the Wheel of the Year, the potential becomes conception. On May Eve the sexuality of life and the earth is at its peak. so basically get shagging your birds at this particular juncture tbh lads as that is probably the most sacred rite connected with this time - that of congress and conception.
Those with ambitions of spirit communication should also be aware that Walpurgisnacht is a conducive time to perform such an endeavour. The Judgement card is symbolic of rebirth, inner calling, absolution.
The Judgement card shows a number of naked men, women and children rising up from their graves, arms outspread and responding to the trumpet call of the archangelic archetype who hovers high above them. The people are appealing to the angel, ready to be judged by the power of the Universe. In the background, there are huge mountains which signify insurmountable obstacles and the impossibility of avoiding judgment. The ocean represents the end of the river that flows through the Major Arcana, starting with the Empress. The angel's banner is red on white, mirroring the Magician’s clothing. As with everything in life, the beginning is woven irrevocably into the end and the end eventually leads to a new beginning.
The planetary ruler of this card is Pluto, the ruler of the underworld and consequently the inverse meaning of the Judgement card is that of self-doubt, refusal of self-examination.
