Thats not really how it works, I would say Nordic resistance does it right, no swastikas, just clean look and peaceful marching.
You have to do what the left does, have the extreme right wing group, then have the slightly less right wing group who people vote for.

They've not only been actively censoring things, but they're actively trying to physically hinder people from assembly. For those not in the know, the right to assemble and protest is a right in Sweden. They're not even trying to make it seem like they're not cracking down on dissent.

You don't need a permit to protest or demonstrate in Sweden. Last year they notified the police simply as a courtesy, and the police responded by changing their planned route to pass by a synagogue, which resulted in the synagogue immediately reporting the planned march for hate crimes and the police using it as an excuse to shut down a fully legal protest.
As for riot shields there's nothing illegal about carrying defensive equipment. You could walk around in a gas mask if you wanted to, largely the same law muslims hide behind.
But also the police don't really expect the NRM to be violent, it's always the leftist antifa protesters who get bussed in from places like Germany who stir shit up. Which is one of the reasons they probably didn't try to take their shit from them, because they knew there would be people actively throwing things at them.

If there is major traffic disturbance, for example if they just stand on the road, the police can break up the demonstration. But otherwise the police cant really do anything about it.
Protests and demonstrations don't necessarily disrupt traffic. If there are serious disruptions it's within the authority of the police to re-route the march though.
