God, this is what I hate about furries, they have this weird forward front that it isn't just about sex but if you spend any time at all you can see right through that screen. Basically every furry community is about sex, and more often than not gay shit. That's my main issue with this stuff, at least be honest about it instead of pretending it isn't a fetish. And the whole "no such thing as a straight furry"thing does hold true a lot of the time, but only because of the community around it.

I know a few furfags that aren't absolute faggots about it. They're reasonable people who lead relatively normal lives, and if they didn't tell anybody, we would be none the wiser about it; no body pillows, art on the walls, fursuits, furry jokes, nothing. They're simply nice, average people who just want to get along with their lives like most everyone else and they're even generally conservative people, so there's that.
I would rather deal with a person like that than the stereotypical furfag any day.

I believe we need to instill proper sexual health and attitude in young people from a young age and make sure they know about the dangers of it and having safe and healthy relationships, rather than just go around and shoot any person deemed degenerate. Maybe I'm too compassionate, but I'd rather see problems fixed rather than sweeped under the rug.
