I'm saying that in each and every casual interaction you have, every task that you complete while at the office, every time you checkout out at the grocery store, your actions are composed of thousands of infitesimal predictions about the way these interactions go. If we allow for increasing diversity, eventually we start losing time because we make poor predictions.

The addage that diversity is our strength, is only true in very specific circumstances where a unique and fresh outlook is needed. This new strategy however, can only be incorporated if the system has some existing degree of homogenization.

Diversity is a diminishing marginal return after a point.
