It appears that the US is preparing for war with Venezuela. Venezuela has close economic ties to China and Russia, but is too far away for either to protect. Venezuela is home to a large Iranian diplomatic/intelligence mission. Venezuela also has a shitload of oil.
The US has conducted military drills in Northern Brazil and Colombia. Air Force personnel are being stationed in Panama. Diplomatic outreach to regional leaders have floated the idea of regime change.
Vice President Pence, Secretary Pompeo, Secretary Mattis, and Ambassador Bolton all have set Venezuela as a priority. Venezuela is also conducting massive drills to prepare for a long guerilla war against an American invasion.
North Korea has made a deal. Iran is too well supported by EU trade partners and Russian military support which prevents US action there. Russia and China are too powerful to directly attack. Venezuela though is a tempting target.
No doubt followed by tens of millions of based refugees and a small cadre of hardened war criminal collaborators imported into the US to oversee the government mass murder of White people.

Why would America send troops to end a government that's already collapsing? Venezuela is going to die within a few months anyway.
