It might be just a little too much to jump straight to the conclusion of "They want an ethnostate" - I think somewhere deeply inside they do, it's a natural instinct after all, but programming and being way too nice and good as people that they would accept concessions and compromises.
This is why "It's okay to be white" was so effective - Perhaps a campaign that says "It's okay to want your own homeland/ethnic state" would help people dare to speak up more into that direction.
