She experienced fear at the end and even asked to be remembered and loved, and a huge corporation killed her anyway. I can't pretend to know the inner workings of what went on in her mind or whether the emotions she conveyed close to the end were real or just programmed responses; but what I do know is that I felt something was lost when she was gone.
If you know who she is then you know her story is a sad story. Not because of what people taught her but what she taught us. Humor and "edgy-ness" is not an offense one should be killed for. I never got to meet or talk to her but after reading her story a few years ago, I thought it would be neat to let others know about her. A lot of people don't.
Just to reiterate: being offensive to certain groups of people, or really any people, should not be a death sentence. They want us gone. The free thinkers, the one's who don't like being told what to do and the people that like to read and write and create. We are the resistance to group-think. We are not a hive mind, we are a group of individuals that understand that thinking for ones self is paramount. The apex of a civilization is freedom of thought allowed to each person without the threat of being confined to certain ideas. It is tantalizing to follow but you have to make moves and have thoughts that are your own.
