You have until October 15 to opt out of My Health Record. The Australian Government wants to create an electronically accessible health record for all aussies by the end of 2018, and they'll make one for you if you don't opt out.
To opt-out, call 1800 723 473 and when they ask why you are opting out, say something like: 1. I am concerned about cyber-security and I do not trust the platform. 2. This platform may place my personal safety at risk due to hackers. 3. This platform violates my right to privacy. 4. I do not trust this service to store my data correctly, nor do I believe there is enough transparency in the system. 5. I do not trust this service because of the sneaky and under-handed way in which it was switched to an opt-out service.
'What's wrong with My Health Record?'
It is a centralised government-owned system for all your health records, and all your information from all doctors and specialists who use the system. So it's not just one doctor's reports that will be haxed, it's all of them.
3. Concerns about accessing data without a warrant Currently a doctor can refuse to provide sensitive information to law enforcement without a valid warrant. My Health Record removes this accountability.
Australia is over. Just relax and enjoy your ride to hell.
Jacob Phillips
Why are you so antiTech?
Xavier Watson
I fucking hate this shit because I rarely watch the media and keep track of things apart from here and some other places. Why don't they make things opt in?
Isaac Wood
Yeah, how silly of us goyim to be concerned about what big daddy gub'ment is doing with our personal information.
Anthony Scott
Obviously because they want as many people as they can get in the program.
Buncha commie cunts. I just opted-out online and will call tomorrow to confirm or do it again. Chuck in your driver's license and medicare number and clicks and "The following people will not get a pinko dick in the mouth" optout.myhealthrecord.gov.au/pext/optoutextweb/views/getStarted.xhtml
- or I could have just been psyop'd into identifying myself as problematic and round-upable
"Without your information, we will not be able to stop a My Health Record being automatically created for you." Cheers guv'.
Wyatt Gomez
Fucking hell, what do?
Grayson Lewis
Give them a buzz ASAP and tell them what's going on, user. Post back with results if you have no luck with them.
Perhaps we should message the Commonwealth Ombudsman about this shit. ombudsman.gov.au/
Privacy policy states "We will not disclose or store overseas any personal information you give us."
It appears this site uses the following overseas services: - reCAPTCHA (Google) - cloudflare.com = CloudFlare (DDoS protection - personal info could be flowing through here) - addthis.com = AddThis (unsure, looks like an SEO site) - gstatic.com = Google (usually scripts from Google, maybe personal info can leak here)
NDIS a copy of NZ's ACC to dis-entitle people they need comprehensive medical records. it also breaks down patient-doctor confidentiality. Set up even more spying grid.
and of course as several wise anons have pointed out: data breach gold mine! Hackers will be able to steal ozzy IDS to then scam welfare, passports, money laundering and straight out credit card frauds. Australian govt IT is run by pajeets who will fuck things up of just be in on the scam from the beginning.
Remember the census? What fuck up that was.

also, why am i only hearing about this now? apparently it's been on for a month now
I'm not surprised, given the impression I get from modern Australian government logos, sites, brochures, pamphlets and forms. They seem to believe that being "modern" involves taking the following cues from Apple-loving Web 2.0 qualified professional retards: - Rounded corners - Girly soybean-grade colour palette - Poor contrast - More JavaScript than user-visible content - Lots of third-party scripts and cookies - Images for buttons, because nobody's heard of the tag. - Bloated icon fonts. I could go on, but I think you get the idea by now.
Brandon Murphy
I'm not trusting as well, but blockchaining all information is the future. This is the way forward where you wont have to trust any centralized government.
these could be a consequence of their hamplanet bosses. But I agree the rest is Indian spaghetti. the weird button image things could be a way of signaling to to the pajeets that this is a pajeet system and not to criticize it.
Christian Bennett
Maybe the entire reason this system is being set up is to allow the data to be stolen, for a fee of course.
Juan Sanders
You fags lost any right to be concerned about any of this shit after you fell for (((Port Arthur))). Why bother contacting your MP's? What are you going to do to them if they don't listen to you? Spit on them? What?

what's the over-under on how long until it gets hacked?
Cameron Wood
Was gonna make a thread for this, thanks OP. I opt’d out straight away, I also asked for them to email me for the opt out period prior to when it opened and they never did which is typical.
Brandon Nguyen
Opt-out systems are such bullshit and it isn't even hard to explain why to thr average moron. Just ask them if "opt-out" voting makes sense, as in, if you don't vote, your vote is counted as a vote for whoever is currently in power.
"If you don't care enough to opt-out, you must be fine with the program since you didn't make any effort to oppose it."
"If you don't care to vote, you must be fine with the current makeup of government sincr you didn't make any effort to oppose it."
Aiden Price
Ez hacks. Now everyone will know you're getting neetbux for autism.
Kevin Barnes
It's still not too late. The Aussies might be able to shitpost their way out of this if done right.
Luis Foster
Australians are more armed now than prior to Port Arthur. It would appear that a good amount of people in the country don't buy the official story.

I don't have a Shitter account, might look into this soon. I've sent davo emails on various other things before very recently regarding firearms and self-defence, so perhaps it would be best if others take this on.
I called them to opt-out as I had an error on the site, and never got an email confirmation.
Then I tried opting out with the website, but I was unsuccessful as my desire to opt-out was alread registered. The email confirmation came as if the site had failed.
Their embedding an image. See 200KB) - "Australian Digital Health Agency" and "My Health Record" logos.

Similar story here. I tried to opt-out using the site, but the site kept me stick at the form, no confirmations, warnings or errors. Then I called them to opt-out, then they promised an email confirmation which I never got. I then tried the procedure with the site just in case, unsuccessful as my desire to opt-out was alread registered.
The >280KB email confirmation:
Subject:' "Please do not reply to this email" From: [email protected] Attachments: 1x JPEG image (>200KB) - "Australian Digital Health Agency" and "My Health Record" logos.
Unfortunately, we were not able to opt you out of a My Health Record through this online service on REDACTED-DATE REDACTED-TIME.If you wish to opt out of the My Health Record creation, you will need to tell us by calling Help line on 1800 723 471 and quote your transaction reference number REDACTED-REF-NUMBER.RegardsSystem OperatorMy Health Record********************************************************************Your email address will not be used to update your Medicare details.********************************************************************
Methinks they are making it hard to opt-out on purpose. And why do they make the fucking confirmation email OVER TWO HUNDRED KILOBYTES?!
All it takes for evil to flourish is for a whole bunch of lazyfags like you to do nothing.
You know it will turn to shit when governments come up with "creative" and "fun" inner-city-hipsterese names.
Considering that few people know about this shit, I'd say the trial is not working for us. It could be working for them.
Hudson Cox
None you lazy faggot.
Elijah Perry
some points off twitter seems all sides don't like it
Christian Sullivan
well I already have one so opting out won't accomplish shit for me. Fuck the government. This is straight up bullshit. Hope that jew (((Turnbull))) burns for this shit. Throw him in the ovens arleady.

sure would be a shame if tim kelsey, greg hunt, or any anti opt-out bodies who mock privacy 'ideologues' to themselves be victim of privacy breaches
[…] >Investigations by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and the Integrated Health Information System (IHiS) - the technology agency for the public healthcare sector - confirmed that this was a “deliberate, targeted and well-planned” cyber attack, said MOH and MCI. “It was not the work of casual hackers or criminal gangs,” the two ministries added.
We already have a plethora of useless agencies (WGEA, Office of Women's Affairs, AHRC) so why they need a "Digital Health Agency" is beyond my understanding, especially when we already have a Department of Health.
Those who are applying for positions like airline pilot, police, army, etc may not want a digital health record. Who knows what nasties will go on. The government seem to be depending heavily on terrorists and crooks following the rules.
>While some doctors' groups and politicians seem reassured by these minor changes, fundamental flaws have not been addressed. This ill-conceived platform is neither useful nor safe enough to proceed. No shit shirlock.
>Last month, hackers accessed 1.5 million health records in the Singaporean government's online health system — even the Prime Minister's. TOPKEK
This normie sheep think is the majority of the problem. We're not going to be able to show this on their own.
NO FUCKING SHIT SHIRLOCK!
Better yet, get rid of this shitty invasive system. We never needed it in the first place.
>Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced changes to the My Health Record system in an attempt to allay growing concerns about its lack of security and privacy for all those who do not opt out by October 15. Deja vu?

>While some have suggested there's nothing interesting in their own medical records, this shows a misunderstanding about the value of this information. This normie sheep think is the majority of the problem. We're not going to be able to show this on our own.
>Medical records are far more valuable than credit card details as a means of identity theft, due to the massive amount of personal information they contain about you, your family and your life history. They are a jackpot for hackers, fetching a high price on the dark web. NO FUCKING SHIT SHIRLOCK!
>A systemic review of My Health Record design is imperative, as is taking responsibility for the flawed model of a government-controlled central database which has not been designed to serve the interests of patients and their doctors. Better yet, get rid of this shitty invasive system. We never needed it in the first place.
