How so? I use one and it seems just fine, actually testing the water for certain things is out of my league though. The filters can be considered somewhat expensive but it's still far cheaper than bottled water.

I’ve heard tons of things ranging from the filters themselves containing toxins and contaminating the water with various particulates, to turning water milky, to actually just mostly being straight up full of shit as the filters actually start letting in trace amounts right away. I researched them heavily there’s no shortage of unhappy Berkey owners out there

Well you do have to actually read the instructions and wash, prime and install the filters properly, and considering how many dumbfuck mongrels I'm surrounded by I could see them fucking up any number of steps. The trace amounts thing is what worries me, I'd have no way to know. Other than that, what comes out of it tastes far better and cleaner than what goes in.

But to now add something to the topic, I personally drink tank water. I then boil the water and filter through a really decent stone filter. Absolutely delicious water. Havent drank tap water in 5 years. Havet drank milk in 2. Cannot recommend it any higher guys.

I drink my rural German water right out of the tap without any filters.
Sometimes it smells a bit like chlorine but that's nothing for the delicious delicious minerals in it.

A couple things to understand about city water and country well water. I drink city water and I have a LEAD water inlet tap same as fucking Flint. I have a 3/4" lead water inlet that is about 70' to the 4" cast iron main so a quick calculation shows that there is a little less than 1 gallon of water in the lead portion of the water pipes. So flushing the toilet before drinking water when I wake up insures I have water that is straight from the main and has not sat in the lead portion for over night. Next thing the lead pipe is original equipment to the house and is almost 100 years old so it has a nice thick calcium carbonate build up inside the pipe so basically I have a lined lead pipe. All the water is supplied to my city by Detroit which has one of the best water systems in all of the US because it was built a long time ago by white people and has had a core of white people running it ever since. Even the city political niggers know they cant find a genius science nigger to run the water system and maintain it.

If you have a well it would be in your best interest to get it tested just because pic related. As is an element that occurs naturally in the earth. Humans do have some tolerance to it on a trace level but you want to ensure that you don't get more than YOUR RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE KEK
