When referring to forest density, the problem is the removal of brush. This is where I have a problem with the lumber industry because they remove brush just to grow more trees. Brush, the low-lying wild life habitat, is a component of nature there to serve as both a basin and a filter of the low growing species. There is competition of root growth, it acts as a channeling of water, and containment of soil quality. They remove brush but all this does is cause more trees to grow and block off lower species from growing. What happens is you get forests, especially in the US, which are almost completely coniferous and pose a huge burn risk. They remove native shrubs like manzanita which is naturally more fire resistant.
The trees adapt with or without you. Nature finds a way. You affect forest growth by removing brush and causing trees to become too dense and nature gives you bigger fires in return. Fire prevention is a funny thing to argue because nature will always find a way to burn off undesirables. The trick is to not being a subhuman nigger removing natural species, decaying the habitat, and letting things outgrow everything else. You know I was right regarding the petrolkike plastics. There are better alternatives.
