Reminder to the lad talking about methods of activism. You absolutely should never protest you should occupy space.
Protesting is putting yourself in a position where you’re asking for what you want from people you know hate you and letting the process of asking them be totally in the control of those you’re protesting. All the chips are in their hand, all you can do is lose. The police don’t want your protest to go well, the media will tell the public it didn’t go well no matter what happens and the powers that be will not notice you unless they decide to use you.
You take spaces and start to build on it like it’s yours. You occupy buildings or parks and then fight to keep it. Eventually you will reach the point where it’ll cost the powers that be more to take that space than it’s worth. The local police would be happy to accept this, they already do in many ways.
This is proven in the existence of dozens of squats across the country in a smaller example but as shown by Bogside riots or Exarcheia you can take entire areas of cities and claim them as yours permanently.
