I like our current gun laws. You must be over 23 to apply for a gun license. You have to attend a gun safety course, you must do a psychological evaluation and then you can buy a gun. Citizens can only buy standard pistols, and bolt action rifles usually for hunting.

Then you need a reason to get guns, either for sport, so you have to prove you are actually active in that sport, either you are a hunter and prove that you are actually a hunter or you have to be a "collector" and prove you are collecting shit. None of these categories make it exactly easy to just buy a fucking gun for home defense. "Defense" is not even a legit reason in Germany, not even for carrying a knife longer then 12cm, and a baton is completely illegal in public. And even if you get a gun after months of bullshit, you are not allowed to shoot it anywhere but a certified shooting range. And you have to transport them either in parts or locked up. And this fucking guy is proud to announce that 1 million people in Germany own 6 million guns. That's not even enough to give 8% of the population a single gun, that's nothing.

I agree with my country's gun laws - pistols and hunting rifles are allowed after attending lessons/instructions (don't know what they are im guessing just teaching you how to handle and shoot at a range) and no major charges. Also if you have been in the military(which was mandatory some years before I became of age) you can have deadlier guns(usually a kalashnikov).
