So it seems like everything seeded or that began to grow after the 2012 and that culminated in the Trump election and Charlottesville has basically been flattened this past year. All the websites, groups, prominent figures from it etc have fallen by the wayside or disappeared entirely, and the UTR rally yesterday should the final, impotent death rattle of its prominence.
The big-tent coalition collapsed after CVille and I think it was the great dividing moment; whether you laughed at that pig heather's death or clutched your pearls at how it ruins your optics, whether you felt excited seeing the swastika and black sun blazing on TV or whether you worried about how it would scare GOP voters etc.The Amnat, civnat, patriotard direction so many backpedalled on afterwards in some vain attempt to save protect their precious image has totally failed; could not even work up a tenth of the energy that a bunch of literal autists in baseball helmets painted like pepe could and it turns out the GOP doesn't give a fuck about your half-assed optics.
So what happens from here? Let's skip all the screaming about who's a cianigger shill and who isn't, most of these people/groups we could argue about are irrelevant now or quickly on their way to becoming so.
The same pool of people are still out there, the structures they formed and coalesced around have been smashed but the material remains. What do you think has changed about them? What trends do we see that we could use to predict what could happen when things begin to reform again?
I get the feeling there's a general malaise over all corners of the far-right; skepticism, boredom, inactivity etc in the wake of all this. My guess is that it'll last until the new year or so and by spring, I think we'll start to see whatever's coming next start to appear.
