Fuck, it is real. Trump is a legit race realist, there's no fucking other way to interpret this. As to why no one talks about it: Because it is obviously true and they don't want to create more people like him. Now I get it why they started attacking him as Nazi so early, before he even made any controversial statements. He understands that brown and black people are responsible for almost every violent crime in the US and probably seeks some kind of obvious solution to that problem.
Even if it is old, it's nice to see Donald is, at least apparently, aware of the actual problem. Whether this will translate into action, or currently is, remains to be seen to some extent, but I think it gives creedence to the idea he's putting on a show for the cameras right now. He seemed content to hint at his awareness back in the day, with his pokes at the middle east and absolutism that came off in previous interviews, I don't know if that's changed though. Also wonder what he thinks of Ivanka and Kushner. Get the feeling he thinks Baron and Jr. are his real legacy at the end of the day, although primarily Baron.
Trump's greatest contribution has been the breaking of the Overton window. Let's hope it's not his only contribution, but it's still a pretty major one.
