Well that's pretty fair. I've always thought of them as a mathematics based mystery school first and foremost, but I'm coming at them through the lens of discordianism, which itself is simultaneously kiked as fuck at the lower levels, connected to the CIA and all kinds of bullshit at the middle levels, and full of /ourguys/ in the actual mystery school, so that may bias my thoughts. Esotericism implies something hidden or veiled. The divine, transcedence, God, whatever you want to call should be open and available to all at any time. The "questioning the riddles of the universe" is not esotericism, it's prayer, meditation, reflection. Esotericism is a hidden doctrine the is embedded into a world view or system.
