They probably do like here, that is a certain percentage of your salary goes into a pension fund which then is used to pay your pension when you are retired. As said here the standard is 2.5% which you pay all through your life.

But the way I see it, it's still more of the same. The economy will slow down, they won't pay off they're multi billion dollar debt, they'll borrow billions of dollars more to speed growth up when citizens grow weary/restless, and the debt will continue to grow as it does with all governments over time.
