I have a jewtube account where I upload audio files with still images. Can anyone suggest an easy (don't have much experience with PS) yet professional looking style to use? Maybe examples or a tutorial?
Allot of this stuff looks cool but seems to only get circulated among people who already know. By no means am I saying it shouldn't exist and continue however I'd argue humor and crude memes have been more effective as laughter softens the blow when breaking through someone's cognitive dissonance.

Play around with VSTs and mastering software. Mess around with sampling. Listen to some of the greats for mixing inspiration. Practice makes perfect. Make a song a day, even if it's shit you get better and learn your DAW a little more with every song.

I've always rattled this idea around in my head but I'm not very creative. Basically, make something easy to pin that's interesting to look at and will spark debate amongst your liberal friends. "What is that? What's it for?" then you open the door to conversation and they'll most likely say "Well that makes sense" after you explain to them its a mock pin to emphasis that democracy is useless in a nation of fools. Anything to add to this that's practical/productive and I'll do it. Can't really think of a good mascot to go behind the hands.

Reaper has everything you need to start working with VSTs and recording. It's technically not free but if you download it and don't pay for it all you get is a nag screen for a few seconds every time you start it up. It might as well be free. There's a steep learning curve but there's tutorials out there on everything. I know a guy who runs an entire studio with it instead of protools.
If you want to mix pro quality you can't really get around having decent monitors, but you can get by with a decent set of headphones.
You'll often work your ass off for no response so be patient and steady. I've made electronic music for years, every genre is crowded so you gotta find what you're good at to make yourself stand out, and it can be allot of thankless effort but if you love what you're doing those few successes make it worth it.

I've never tried it myself (because I've only ever used GIMP), but, I've heard some Photoshop plugins work just fine in GIMP.
Not sure if or how that would affect someone switching OS (I'm assuming Linux), though, but, it's certainly worth a shot.

Never wrapped my head around GIMP and don't have photoshop. But I think some sound advice, once you at least are familliar with the tools, is to just muck about.
Choose a simple project such as just presenting a symbol in a nice way within a limited canvas. And pour some time into it. I'm not good at it, but I am way better now than I was before.

I used to use paint but GIMP is vastly superior. Almost as good as Adobe PS. My tip: always save project files so you can reuse layers between projects.

in PS CC how do I print the same image 3x on one sheet of 8.5x11?
I searched how to tile and that isn't working. I'm basically trying to make 3 mirror boxes of one image.
I don't use PS but you have to think in layers, same for most programs.
Copy entire picture, resize and then place as 3x layers..
check your printer settings for 4-up (4 pages per side printing).
Or search the help for tiling options
